hmghosthoost you may be on to something. I think for the most part that that's the point of viral marketing. They are creating a buzz and it doesn't matter what kind of buzz as long as it gets our attention.

To be honest, this is the nail in the coffin which proves to me that this is definitely OOG, as i questioned the robot image on the site b4 because it had no real connection to the story altho it looked professional. but since seeing the template, the pm's wouldnt of just copied another image from another website, it would of been an original pic. also where is the bold futura logo or tagruato logo? definitely OOG. Very Happy

I was thinking more about the general site design, but that's a very good point about the robot. They wouldn't use some generic robot. If anything, they should have bulldozers and cranes and stuff.

Exactly, it just doesnt seem to fit with the image presented of them on the tagruato website. it is the elevators as well as the robot which make me feel that it is not in line with the company image.

I think till Tagruato site links to that page, it has to be considered OOG.

There IS a search button, but you just have to search for it Wink Honestly, I don't like the way it is hidden at the top, and have emailed UnFiction about this.

Re: Answers

Wow, what is your problem. I was not trying to get anyone in trouble. I merely asked a friend if they could get some information for me.

Why are you trying so hard to discredit my source, did you create this gamejack, is that why you are trying to discredit my source...

And BTW, if you go to the main page of the site offering the template, it shows that the person had to pay hundreds of dollars to use this template. So someone has really gone out of their way to make this OOG - if it truly is one.

I'm not sure if they payed for it, but even if they didn't, they did pay for the domain, and .jp domains are kind of expensive.

So I think I'm joining hmg in the praise. I'm applauding their efforts and their willingness to put a good deal of money into it. Now, if you boldfutura.jp guys are reading this: Put all that effort into doing your own ARG, is so much rewarding than this. Believe me.

I know you must be sick of being pointed towards existing threads, but this is a really good one, discussing about the nature of this 'game' (I still say is not a game, but a clever chaotic fiction): http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20739

Oh, and BTW, thanks for the tea. I know I get kind of worked up, but I just hate when people get into a discussion forum to say discussing is dumb.

The answer is your source can loose their job for accessing a customers records without authorization. I worked for GoDaddy for two years and reps aren't allowed in records without the customers permission. The customer has to give them their PIN or last four digits of the CC on file for the account in order for the rep to view their information. If you don't believe me call their help line or ask your source. Playing the game is one thing, but accessing private information is another. I have already called my friends at the Scottsdale office and ask them of the breach. Evidently the owner of the domains in question has already filed a written complaint and it is being investigated. I have found this movie and ARG very interesting, but I have an immense amount of respect for GoDaddy. They are an excellent company who have treated me very well. Playing this game has been a stimulating experience, but endangering one's friends over something this insignificant is bloody ridiculous.

Wow, what is your problem. I was not trying to get anyone in trouble. I merely asked a friend if they could get some information for me. I had no idea what it would entail for them and don't even know if it involves all this authorization and stuff like you say. But with the ease they got the information for me I doubt it was that difficult, and I am sure if it involved breaking into an account by cracking a pin etc. then my source would not have done it.

Why are you trying so hard to discredit my source, did you create this gamejack, is that why you are trying to discredit my source...

If you are telling the truth about working for Godaddy before and calling them to inform them of the "BREACH", why would you do that? Why would you go out of your way to get someone in trouble over a game?

Honestly I don't want anyone to loose their job over a game, but I'm not the one who involved them in this. I explained myself in my response to your PM, so let's leave it at that. I have no intention of dedicating any more time to this diversion.

So THAT'S where it's suppose to be?

Unfortunately it isn't on my screen. just the bottom row of those buttons.
My screen doesn't show the top row with that search link in it. weird.

Yes he is talking to you. IE as in Microsoft Internet Explorer. In comparison to others, its actually not that good a browser, and lets a fair few popups through as well as skewing the code of some pages. Try downloading Mozilla Firefox 2.0.... thats what I'm using.... half the pop-ups, all pages work correctly, and whenever I run Spybot I now get hardly any threats:

www.firefox.com

Might I point out also, on an unrelated note, that if this is a gamejacker that they have put a lot of money into this.... he would have purchased the domian www.boldfutura.jp, which i imagine would have been quiet costly due to the cloverfield hype (if it was previously unused), and also buying the flash template for the website. Someone's sinking some cash into this gamejacking, if thats what it is.

You might want to email Unfiction about that...

In the mean time, you can just bookmark the search link here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/search.php

BTW, I also recommend the Firefox web browser. It has built-in spell-check!!!

Mozilla Firefox?! That piece of junk? You must be joking!

(That's not a personal attack, it's my opinion of the product)
