ok, so for arguments sake, lets just SAY the letters go as follows:

Code:

O/TJE/CWWW
  KCS
  VFK

This would mean we have a "www" and a "co".

Can any of the pics be interpreted as an "M"? If so, this leaves 8 letters that make up the name of the website.....

So, Below im posting my own spec so far... this M is REALLY bothering me. Also, did anyone take note of the overall shape of the long top row? With the code, it almost looks like an "I"....

For arguments sake, how in the world do you get the lizard lady to be F, and the king to be C? I'm also confused by the A for the pic of Kelvin.

I guess you could have revised stuff on IRC, but in that case it would be nice if you could tell us non-irc-chatting persons how you got to where you are instead of just posting the answers..

edits... :_)

Also, the images are laid out to form a 3x1 3D box. Build the box, read the letters in the right order? Possibly using the number/letters pattern we got first...

Now, what on earth (or off earth) is that bottom left one? Looks sci-fi almost. Is he coming up out of water? Reaching up to grab something? Somehow, some cheesy aftershave advert pops into mind. Also, are we sure its a whale top right?

The Wedding Invitation - is it W for wedding? I for invitation? S for Sale? F for Flyer?
The three W's do give a convincing WWW. website hint. Perhaps these 3 letters tell us where to start applying the pattern? i.e. this line don't rotate. Next line, add one, next line add two.

Code:

   WWW
O /F J E/ C
    KKB
    _VK

Well the main point of that post didnt really have anything to do with the letters you just questioned. It had to do with the "www" and the "com". Hence the "for arguments sake, lets just say..." I tried to use the most obvious letters, with the exception of the "A" which ill explain for you now.

The lizard lady has a blatant "F" next to her head.

The CROWN I put down as "C".. like I said, I used the most obvious Idea

The "A" i can see why you couldnt see it right away, but after reading thebruce's post, I would have thought it wasnt that hard to understand. [after rereading that, that came out kind of rude which i didnt intend, what I meant was I thought thebruces post was still fresh in everyones minds] Thebruce explained (on these boards) the process that led him to "Kelvin". , which was the meaning of the Mandarin Characters: Zero, Degrees. He even used the words "Absolute Zero" so thats how I got "A" for that picture.

I made it a point to say "for arguments sake" because I am in no way claiming these to be the definite answers. Just one speculation.

Everything that had been in my post was also said on here one way or another. I didnt feel the need to explain it, because that wasnt the focus of the post. The focus was the WWW and the COM, and to say that there are 8 more letters that might make up the name of the website we are looking for...

Didnt mean to cause any confusion. Hope that clears it up for you, Twee.

EDIT: Argh chippy lol I just basically reiterated your post

Hmm: I had a thought... maybe the outlining code is somehow a way to tell us the order of the boxes? Is this what you were talking about chippy?

like the shorter green code (from thebruce's post):

Quote:
0308140405101606071218

Seeing as though there are 14 boxes, maybe this is a sort of map on how to read them.

Ex: 03, 08, 14, etc ....

could mean

Box 3, then Box 8, then Box 14, etc.

Just another Spec thrown out there..

Yeah, thanks for the clarification.

I think the bottom left one looks like an athlete, and maybe it's from some cheezy after shave ad, who knows. Wink I've been looking at pics of famous track and field athletes and things like that. but no go yet. Also, I thought the top right one was a desert, but it's crazy hard to tell..

Time for me to head for bed, it will be interesting to see how much longer ahead you guys are when I wake up.

Ive scoured ad Images from Nike, Adidas, Reebok, the Olympics (when I thought it was a medal around his neck), perfume, and I cant think but there was one more...

I really think its just the position of his arms that we are supposed to pay attention to, but it doesnt hurt to research anyways

It seems like there could be two, (possibly overlapping) messages denoted by the black and green outlines. Perhaps the solution to the 3x3 square in the green outline is related to the Lo Shu square in the wikipedia entry we are directed to upon enterting 'square' in the query field on exileoutpost exilearchive?

sMooTH,

Do you think it could perhaps be a .co.uk instead of a .com?

If so, judging by your spec, the letters are there.

Since we seem to have stalled on this puzzle, time for a recap of what we have so far.
Still no idea what to make of it all though..

Meanwhile Alvyurin and Jedditor continue to evade the question of what they need help with Sad

well here's the view I'm using, with the commonalities, and possible letters listed first, details after:

Code:
1 (OC    ) One/Chorus Line
 -
1 (FTCI  ) Fluoride/Toothpaste/Charge/Ion (fluoride/fluorine has a -1 charge)
1 (JWT   ) Joule/Work/Tau/Torque
1 (E     ) e
 -
1 (PFC   ) Falk(Peter)/Columbo "just one more question"
W (W     ) Wedding
W (W     ) Wake/Wave
W (W     ) Whale

K (KP    ) Potassium
K (KEC   ) King/E/Chess
K (KPSN  ) King of the Portal/Strawberryclock/Newgrounds

V (VU    ) (arms)
V (VJBDLF) Jane Badler/Diana/V/Lizard Lady/F
K (KA    ) Kelvin/líng dů (Absolute zero)

or in their positions:
Code:
OC   FTCI   JWT    E    PFC  W  W  W
     KP     KEC    KPSN
     VU     VJBDLF KA

What we need are ideas. Jedditor and the System tell me that yours is a world of ideas. And that's certainly the easiest thing to exchange with you. Vidsudent's idea for using condensation has already helped us enormously. Now we're trying to find more sources of energy. So we can do something like growing crops instead of eating all our food stores...

Okay, that's something we should be able to help with.
Let's collect some ideas to help them improve their situation.
Or should we ask a bit more about their surrounding first?
Like what powers the [system], how large are these caves, what kind of desert is it?

Anyone got ideas?

In a desert, eh? Can they ride giant sandworms? Laughing

I think before we can help, we definitely need to know more about their surrounding areas.

I wonder if they need any help lighting a fire without the [mages]? Cold in deserts at night...

Unsure?

Ok this is my first ARG and I was just tinkering with the archive and I typed System into the Query box and this is what I came up with:

Quote:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server during query in /home/.pal/chaoseed/exilearchive.com/func_lib.php on line 8
VERYBADERROR0

This might have been a fluke error but I figured I would post it just in case.

I tried "system" just now and I got the message that was already post a little while ago, not yours Toxic.. are you sure it was "system"? did you use any capital letters or anything different? This is just weird...

No hits for Chaoseed/chaosseed/chaos seed

AND no hits for MySQL

EDIT: Chippy, nice thinking on the "sea"... it could be interpreted as "See" ....See Bubbles! lol.. you ever blow bubbles when you were a kid? well hes back in town and he wants your number lol I love that one

BTW: Whoever suggested that it might be Co.Uk.. pure genious.. I really think we're even closer now.. that missing M was killing me, but now it makes alot more sense... hopefully this is the way it was meant to be figured out..
