I noticed everyone was BAWWING about the tape being password protected or some bull like that. Well, i was thinking, and it may be that they flipped the little lock button on the tape, so it is locked, and cant be played untill it is unlocked. This may be what fish was referring to, because if you put a locked tape into a camera, it just sits there, and wont let you play anything/capture anything.

The little lock button on the tape is only to prevent the tape from being recorded. It is still perfectly playable in any machine. In fact it is there to see to it that it is only played, and not recorded.
