Incase there was any hope, no trailer at saw IV, which by the way was a little bit of a let down.

big surprise there... NOT
the only good saw "movie" was the 45mins clip that the writer originally did for the studio. i think its on the dvd for saw 1 or 2. its got so much more atmosphere and spirit.
all this new crap is a pure waste of money and ur time!

Aww... Saw IV was a little bit of a let down? After the incredibly insipid and lame piece of SHIT that was Saw III you expected anything less?!?
As far as I'm concerned, the story ended after Saw II. Case closed.

Interesting! She said "trailers coming out very soon". Interesting use of the plural "trailers", and the wonderfully ambiguous "very soon". Multiple trailers? This has all been shrouded in so much mystery it's nearly impossible to believe that we'll finally get the one new trailer that Abrams promised, much less multiple trailers
Just keep in mind though that JJ himself said he was going to give a us a title to this thing during Comicon. That was quite a while back and it still hasn't happned yet. "Soon" could mean anything or nothing for that matter. We may get it soon though, just don't get all of your hopes too high. I let that bastard do that to me one too many times
I still stand by my thoughts on the marketing hitting the mainstream again eventually I just can't even guess at how soon that will be.

I wonder if we might just be their 'source'?
Their article fails entirely to account for the Slusho, Tagruato, and jamieandteddy.com websites. They seem to still think we are living in a world where only the 1-18-08.com site exists.

As muddy as they make their own waterz with their naivety, I think
it's safe to say, if it's declared on the internet it's a FACT…lol
It'd definitely be a lil' more "confirmable"
if they could provide their "source".
I was thinkin' a 2nd trailer debut before
Sweeney, but Beowulf will probably get it…

/Film is also reporting a 2nd trailer and title in front of Beowulf, but they're quoting comingsoon.net. It's a vicious cycle.

The criteria for "news" and "ARG stuff" are a bit different.
It really depends on who ComingSoon.net's source is. It doesn't sound very credible, since they are not naming the source. Their source could just be someone that emailed them. Who knows. We could be their source.
Also, ComingSoon.net hasn't exactly been "keeping up" with Cloverfield. Their last Cloverfield news story was in July.
There are good arguments for Beowulf, so they could just be gambling that it will be true, so they can be "FIRST!".

Are there any UF Crew working in theaters? They would see the film before anyone I would think. At least we could get a two day heads up.
I tried making friends with our local projector guy and he seems to have a social problem.
First: He lisped and would not look me in the eye while talking. Kept looking behind me.
Second: He walks around with a Hulk doll in his jacket pocket. I know some of us do that, but not when your pushing forty. I think 35 is the cutoff.
Third: I think he has Tourettes. Everytime I asked about 1-18-08 stuff, he rocked back and forth in a fetal position and screamed out obscenities.
Fourth: He introduced me to his girlfriend. It was a mop with googly eyes glued on it and a Snow White dress. He thougt it was funny, I thought she was sexy.
Soooo in the end, I did not make friends with our projectionist in town. This is a one theater town, so I won't be any help.
