From what I hear there is conflict within my challenge, I expected more from you. To guide you be prepared to use a visual aid. Search and you will find. I hope to see progress my children.

You can thank one of your fellow team-mates for the death of Jason, they sent FOUR emails before the deadline and used a tone that I am not happy with. I am not to be mocked. My rules will be followed.
From what I have I searched seven in google and my first few results linked to the movie with Brad Pitt, I don't own a copy does anyone? this might help. otherwise I'm just grabbing at air...again

I've seen it multiple times and I did mention back on the first page it reminded me of Se7en but...I can't see any kind of connection that would help us.

As plugs wrote, the game certainly is reminiscient of that movie. As a quick recap: serial killer picks victims that he thinks embody one of the 7 deadly/capital sins and then tortures/kills them.
The first captive in the jackpot was admonished for being lazy, the second one for being a drug dealer. As time progresses we should be able to see a pattern. Unfortunately the 7 deadly sins are an extra-biblical idea of the catholic church. There is no chapter that lists them all and which we could use as a starting point for the column/row hints (not to mention the edition issue that was mentioned before).
Just for fun: adding up the numbers yields 660 down and 92 across

Throwing this out there in case it sparks any ideas.
Graphically, I don't see anything for the crossword looking stuff.
I tried just drawing lines and drawing blocks like the group attached.
(They're stacked in resistor color code order).
Mathematically, I could see us multiplying the numbers or adding them as pairs. Division, subtraction and factors don't seem likely.
The results of that are:
Code:
Multiplied; 660 6165 192 1612 1120 22
Added; 76 426 32 83 122 13
Tried Unicode values, base conversions and a few other things, but no luck.
ETA: As for the Se7en stuff...
Could this be related to the Zenescope comics? Of which, #6 (Envy) was just released.
1-Gluttony
2-Greed
3-Sloth
4-Lust
5-Pride
6-Envy

Especially with clues like 411 down - it's got to be a book with LOTS of lines per page

Well...
Going back to bible-related theories
If you take the 010409-010410 to be bible references, you can interpret that to be:
Genesis Chapter 4: verses 9 and 10
From the KJV...
Quote:
9
And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
10
And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
Sounds somewhat appropriate, but not a lot of help.

I went by actual numbered lines in the book (i.e. verse 1, 2, 3, etc) aand came up with ONMAIN counting spaces inbetween words as places - doesn't make much sense to me

Sounds like he has a different numbering of sins then:
1) Sloth
2) Greed

Second challenge now has this as its first line :
Quote:
FOOLS! must you be led like children
I don't see any other changes though. Could go with an 01.04.2009 interpretation seeing it as April's Fools day. But that's just as weak as the bible connection. Oh well- another victim down, 5 more to go.

*feels stupid*
But. I do think this is some thing positive. It means either no one can figure it or we ARE the only group working on this which gives us no excuse to send multiple emails again.

The e-mails were from someone on this forum, for the record (Google the e-mail address). So it's likely we are the only ones on this.
Also, Will should've been dead for about three and a half hours now. We definitely own.

That makes two answers per question on average. Not bad, not bad
