Well this thread seems totally off track, so i'll add to that.

over hear (Australia) there was a "cross-media gaming experience" not exactly an arg but a step in the right direction, it managed to attract a quite a few people. this type of event will help the genre grow (imo).

I'm starting to see meta circles in the grass, the same issues are coming up over and over again, in different areas of these forums. it's good to have discussion and all, but it's all along the same lines Confused .

The one thing that seems to always come up is that TINAG ideas are falling by the way side...

My on-topic opinion is that following TINAG philosophy, opt-in list is redundant and can't exist. Having said that the current ARG climate is a grass roots one with inexperienced PMs at the helm, therefore the situation is very different. It would benifit them. However the afore mentioned can of worms would need to be dealt with.

You Australians get some pretty cool things. There was also I Like Frank somewhere in your region of the world that seemed pretty cool (not really an ARG but one of the first mobile multiplayer sorts of things).

There's so much potential for so much cool stuff that we really need to keep our minds open. TINAG or TIAG, ultimately it's just two different ways of doing things. Neither is right or wrong and both have their advantages and disadvantages. I really think that it's a matter of scale and there are those that prefer things to be further on one side and those that prefer them to be further on the other. But you're right, we do go round and round on it and that's a real shame because there are so many other great ideas and issues that we could discuss as well.

OT: I remember this Delta One Zero...I think Steve had noticed that the game or one of its forums had linked to one or more of the MetaCortechs sites at some point during the game's run. I remember wanting to be able to follow up on it but I don't think the news ever trickled this way except for in our referer logs. Too bad...it looks like it was kind of cool.
