The eyes above

Yah, that's tacky. But, all tackiness aside, if that WAS the PM posting in here, what are they referring to? Whose eyes?

I know PM posts and it doesn't seem convincing. A few of you know I know how they operate. I'm personally calling this a Gamejack. usually if a PM posts, more info is given right after right? It seems like a still waiting game so let's treat it as such, agreed? Well at least that's what I'm doing.

Anyone get any new emails speaking of which? It seems they're not just coming to me since redct I believe got the german mail.

silly question but why are we going under the assumption that there are only 4 pieces?

Yeah, it seems lately the lines between games and unfiction have been blurred at the very least. If this is the PM posting here, it's taking it WAY too far. Our OOG safe haven is "unsafe"? pshaw! I wish people could read rules.

And, yeah, I've been lurking this xD

I assume we're assuming there are only 4 because, well, they're so slow in coming. there could be more, I guess but it might take a few months if that's the case :p

Disturbing trends

If I may threadjack for a moment, I've noticed a disturbing trend in some of the newer trailheads. It seems they think they're "edgy", trying to bring unFiction into their game. The problem with this is that it completely destroys the validity of said game. unFiction, being a strictly OOG resource where the game is discussed as a game, cannot be acknowledged by IG characters without them acknowledging that they are in a game. If they mention anything taken directly from the boards (quoting what we say here) or post here, they're destroying their own universe and admitting that they are not real. It just boggles the mind that someone trying to run a successful game would try such a tactic. </threadjack>

That being said, this game does seem interesting. I like the high production value on the videos, and the personal spin it's put on getting the trailhead to everyone. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

How does it destroy the universe? Honestly, if you were to search for something... like, for my Daily Murder ARG, for instance. If you were to search for some of the details from the game, you'd come up with the uF thread. All you have to do is say, "oh, I see you're talking about me here, so I'll keep looking at that. :3"

How hard is it to use google? :/ You don't have to admit it's a game just because you found this site. By that notion, sending out trailheads to emails found in the interaction thread destroys the universe too, doesn't it? Especially if those emails were made solely for ARGs.

This is probably better debated here.

ETA: Or here.

ok, i have been watching this, not really ready to jump in with other stuff going on....

FWIW, Interventionist seems to me to be a troll. SO, assuming we ignore that post and get on with the game.... where do we stand?

At the risk of stating the obvious....

There were 5 email addresses on the DVD, do we have all 5 emails yet?

and, I would ask the e-mailers, why they chose whomever they chose to email their dvd info to....

If we can get a list of the 5 emails, maybe we can get all of the disks. Just a thought.

I got a couple of -what I thought was random- German Emails... I posted them in the News&Rumors, thinking this may be a new game, but apparently not? Here ya go..

Quote:
Ok, so I got an Email from "Vordijk Hannsen" at sewersbreathefireSPLATgmail.com which I almost dismissed as nonsensical German ads, and I decided to decode it real quick using my trusty Babelfish. Lo and Behold, it appears this could be going somewhere. I'll show you the series of three Emails I have recieved within the past, say, 4 or 5 days or so..

(I put my translations in parenthesis to clarify)

Email #1:
Quote:

Title:
Lösungen
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(Solutions)

Body:
Woher kommt Hilfe? Nach innen oder draußen?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(From where does assistance come? Inward or outside?)

http://stashbox.org/46598/bonesiii.mp4

Apparently this is some sort of video, but I have yet to be able to see it due to my ancient prehistoric computer.

I then sent him a reply asking who he was, and got this..

Email #2:
Quote:

Title:
Re: Lösungen
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(Solutions)

Body:
Ein Beobachter. Die folgende Bewegung ist Ihre.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(An observer. The following movement is their.)

I have been sort of busy, so I wasnt able to respond to this Email, then I came online today and found this:

Email #3
Quote:
Title:
kennen Sie diese Sachen
(know these things)

Body:
68 74 74 70 3a 2f 2f 73 74 61 73 68 62 6f 78 2e 6f 72 67 2f 34 36 37 39 35 2f 62 6f 6e 65 73 76 69 2e 6d 70 34

The last Email with the numbers is obviously a code..

So... I guess I should call this "The Movement" until further notice? Like I said before, I've been so busy I wasn't even able to show this to you guys, but obviously this person is persistent so I want to give him/her the same respect I would show anyone else..... enjoy!

I didnt realize this was part of the Bones game until Loli told me.. what I wanted to know is, who else got these mails, and why specifically us?

The code at the bottom of the third message is hex; it translates to http://stashbox.org/46795/bonesvi.mp4

Looks like we've got videos three and six, team.

So, not exactly the breakthrough I was hoping for. There's an interesting sound at the very end (sounds like it's backwards), but I lack the facilities to analyze it right now. In any case, no hidden frames, no search results for a "Mark Terginian", and we're back at square one.

*sigh*

Doesn't help that I'm on a school computer. Maybe it will look more hopeful from the comforting glow of my Mac at home.

That dude seems...wierd to say the least. Like some guy in a sect or something.

There's definitely something wrong with his family, hence the pause with that psychotic stare when he talks about family problems.

No puzzle piece as far as I can tell but there's a strange sound at the end. I have no idea though what we're supposed to do with that. Maybe run it through some funny filters, I don't know. I'll leave that to the competent people. Wink

EDIT: Seems like someone was a little faster. Wink
