I don't know about any of you, but I am probably going to hate the title when it is revealed. Then again, I might not. I just think that we are so used to "Cloverfield" that when the new title is revealed, it won't feel right.

Oh My God, they are making a sequel to Space Jam.
If you don't get that, the team in Space Jam was called the Monstars.

I know there's another topic on it, but I saw that it was requested that the subject be moved to this thread. So I'll do it.
ComingSoon.net has an article confirming that the title of the film will be released November 16th (my birthday's the 20th, so happy b-day to me from Bad Robot!). A new trailer will be attached to Beowulf...which means I'm actually gonna have to go see that movie, sadly.

Re: Are there any UF Crew working in theaters? They would see the film before anyone I would think.

At least we could get a two day heads up.
I tried making friends with our local projector guy and he seems to have a social problem.
I do have a friend who works the projection at the theater. Back a while ago he told me there was a trailer entitled "SLUSHO!" in front of the new Resident Evil flick. However, the next day it was replaced with some thriller from a different company. I've got him looking for anything suspicious so don't worry

Apparently the movie is called "Cloverfield". I personally love that name. It had nothing to do with the movie (although no one is sure) but it is so catchy.

Apple Trailer Site This is a little off topic but I was at the Apple trailer site a little while ago and the hd trailer links were gone. Anyone else see that or is it a problem on my end?

They're on there for me. Sometime I noticed it takes a minute for the Quicktime links to load.
Edit: Typo

I've had that happen.
If you don't have Quicktime proper on your system (WMP can play .mov via codecs, as can other media players), the page seems to detect it and not offer the higher resolution trailers - which can basically be downloaded.

If Abrams does decide to release the trailer soon
it would be a much better idea to release it with The Mist.
That movie is just as mysterious as this one...
except at least Stephen King isn't keeping it a guessing game.
Just my two cents there...The Mist is out on November 21st.
Don't they usually release official trailers a couple months before?
That would be good timing.
I'm not saying this will happen...
just saying it would be a better idea to release with this movie.
We'll see what will happen.

cmon that movie will suck ass. Beowulf might not do that well either but certianly better than the mist (releasing that a year or two after the fog... = stupid)
but whad do i know... in a country where Britney spears new album gets into the top 10, everything is possible i guess....

what makes you so certain this movie ("Cloverfield")
won't suck as well?
lol.
it's a 50/50 chance.
With all this hype and no show...
how the hell do we know if its a hit or a miss?
Guess we won't know until it comes out.
All this hype just makes me laugh at this point.
And I have no idea how B.S. got into the top 10.
But, that's a whole different thing. lol.

I'm bored as hell right now. Can we get something new already? A trailer? The Bold Futura website? A new JamieandTeddy.com video? Slusho machines? Some cornbread? I hate these lulls.

if cloverfield sucks, it puts all of jj abrams career at risk. No one will ever trust his name ever again as a producer or w.e. i wouldnt be surprised if half of us flew to California to find him and tar and feather him if the movies a flop. This has taken up like what? four months of your lives so far?
