And for anyone who isn't going to watch the video, the gift opens on 12-09.

This is stupid, if you really watched it or read anything in these forums you would know DECEMBER 9th. Not 10-30, not 12-30, But 12-9. I'll type it again 12-9, one more time just cause, 12-9!

you know....i've been thinking. If we get the name of the movie and the new trailer when beowulf comes out. What are we getting when Jamie opens that box? JJ said we would get the real poster, real name of the movie, real preview, and a view of the monster or something right? That's a big box, since she's a girl maybe he gave her a new stuffed animal. The box is also rather light and she shook it up i believe. So...from my experiences from getting larged stuffed animals, I'm betting whatever is in there is going to resemble the monster.
Its seriously a gut feeling. It makes sense. Its the perfect gift to give a girl if a guy is going to be away for awhile. Maybe Dec 9 is special because its the middle of his trip and that stuffed animal will keep her occupied until he comes back.
also when you think about it Dec 9 is the beginning of the end... 9 doubled is 18 and dec is the end of the year and jan is the beginning.
I'm betting my money that its some japanese or where ever he is stuffed animal. Again its probably pushing the idea that its some extinct creature but its been put into the shape of some adorable tourist stuffed animal.

Heh, maybe it's Teddy's way of saying "This is what I'm 'saving the world' from ."

I like cheese too!!!
What if the gift is a chicken egg and it hatches but because Jamie dropped slusho on it, it grows to a mutant chicken the size of the Statue of Liberty and then destroys New York??
The gift is literally Pandora's Box!

The gift may be the camera used to film what we see as the movie?

Judging solely on what has transpired so far in this thrill a minute marketing campaign I would assume the contents of Jamie's box (the wrapped one, ooh I'm naughty) will be rather lame and/or "retarted". Maybe it will end up being like the Chuai station as in she'll say she's going to open it December 9th even long after December 9th.

Ooh, ooh, let me guess...a David Caruso figurine?
Wait, that doesn't sound right...
Maybe, if we go by the other theories, a giant, mutated David Caruso attacks NY, because, after all, the only gift that keeps on giving is a figurine of David Caruso!
