Uhh. Er. Oops. I'm sorry Sad You're not supposed to get there yet. But now you have a solution for a page that you haven't even seen yet - all because I never did anything about the autocorrect thing. Terribly sorry.

As for a hint:
Giskard wrote:
Hmm... the filename doesn't make sense to me at all, I also tried other extensions for it because of the "not gif" alt text, but nothing came up.

That filename doesn't make any sense to me either Smile

Caterpillar wrote:
I'm thinking the "not gif" refers to the fact that whatever we have to do, we use the name of the image file without the extension to do the figuring.

/me nods

Yanka, Peter Magenheimer had the same problem with the auto-correction when doing his puzzle series a while back. He asked about it in the 'News' thread and BrianEnigma said:

If it is an Apache server, you probably have mod_speling [sic] modules installed. By default, it is off, but the admin might have enabled it (for instance, to help uppercase/lowercase problems). You can create or modify your existing .htaccess and simply put "CheckSpelling Off" in there.

Maybe that helps...

Ok, so I tried ROT'ing, decryptogramming (eh?Smile) and also anagramming the filename, but came up with pretty much nothing...

Hmm... well, there is a new hint Wink

Also, I remember Peter asking something to that effect, but I wasn't sure that I actually wanted to take the autocorrect off. For example, when Justin found question.swf, he was actually looking for question.htm; so I was kinda glad he got redirected instead of getting a 404 and thinking he went down the wrong road; or when Omnie missed one letter in but-our-nece. I think I'll leave it on for now, because I can foresee a situation where misspelling something is very probable, and I don't want you guys to get stuck on that. I'm still very sorry about the "i" thing, though Sad

Ok, I might have a bit of an advantage here, what with kind of speaking Russian and all:

The unicode titles come from a song called Спокойная ночь, so, translating that...

Bravo Yanka....!!!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
[Begin Here.] Berlioz didn't get it. Philosophy is of no help. Perception reveals but our necessarily limited capacity for understanding. Yet I refuse to be a collection of tiny robots - I want to KNOW. Above all, I want to know where she is; THAT she IS. But all attempts are futile. What is the point? Tsoi was right. Hidden half awakening is both cause and effect.[End Here]

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Artist: Kino
Song: Good Night

rooftops are shaking under the pressure of days
A shepherd in heaven hereds the clouds
A city shoots its lights into the night
But strong is the night, great is her might
CHORUS
Those who got to bed, good night, good dreams
I've been waiting for this time and here it is
This time has come
Those who ere silent started to talk
Those who've got nothing to wait, mount their horses
You won't catch up with them, no, not now
CHORUS
Neighbors come, they complain they hear hooves clicking
They can't fall asleep, it disturbs their dreams
Those who've got nothing to wait for take off
And those who were saved-they are safe
CHORUS

Victor Tsoy & KINO band were the exact reflection of their time - late 80s. The time of perestroika & glasnost', Soviet Union living its last day & youth that "wants to see the changes", as Tsoy sang. The music that was so seriously real & sometimes so unbelievably dumb made the whole generation crazy. The phenomenon of KINO is the fact that modern teens who never saw Victor listen to his music. Of course, the tragic death of Victor in the autocatastrophe in Riga, 1990 played a big role in making of this penomenon.

/me surveys the room, guessing that someone must be on that low carb thing, and looks longingly at one of those.
