But Guinness are giving the first prize on Friday 2 November so we shouldn't be stuck here, should we?

Does anyone know what the Lock symbol that comes up in Senor Ramon's room means? Comes into view near the clock.

It just means that that particular clue hasn't been unlocked yet.

Too many people are getting hung up on last Friday. My invitation from Diagio wasn't sent until 1613 on the 2nd and it would seem strange for them and their agencies to go to all this trouble for something that could be solved in 8hrs.
The T&Cs do say that golden dominos will be drawn from Nov 2nd. However, there is no date set for cracking the game:

Terms and Conditions for the person who unlocks the ad and automatically wins a solid gold domino

1. Open to all residents of mainland United Kingdom aged 18 or over except employees of the promoter, their families and anyone professionally involved with this promotion.
2. No purchase necessary. You must be the first person to solve all 11 clues in order to be the first to see the new Guinness advertisement on line. This will be adjudicated by the Promoter. You will then be able to put the advertisement onto the internet is you so desire and you will automatically win a solid gold domino. You must have registered your details in order for the solid gold domino to be posted out to you. You must register on the same day that you unlock the clues and see the ad, if you do not then you will no longer have the rights to your solid gold domino, it will go to another entrant.
3. The solid gold domino prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Please allow 14 days for delivery of the prize. If your prize is returned due to an invalid address given upon registering for the site you will forfeit the right to your prize and it will be given to another entrant.
4. The winner's name can be found by sending an SAE to Guinness Tipping Point prizes, Olympic House, The Birches, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 1EH after 14th December 2007. No other correspondence will be entered into concerning the result and the Promoter's decision is final.

Blah, blah. My guess would be we have to solve it before it airs in the UK.

Well, he left the place alright - took off the whole page and took off all the friends adds. This leaves one to speculate if it was really an in-game website at all - because I don't think the advertising agency would take off clues that are in-game as they would want as many players as possible to participate no matter when they join in. The fact that it was in the source of the meat page really doesn't matter - remember the phone number that was in the source and it wasn't in game either.

I am curious, what do you mean by invitation? How are invitations sent out? Did you register for the contest in advance? You didn't get it until November 2nd?

If you were already registered with Guinness or Diageo then a message was sent you about the competition. I didn't receive mine until 02/11 17.22 which wouldn't give much time to finish all the clues.

I've been reading this with interest over the last couple of days and the only thing I really cant make any sense of is why there is a link to the Carneceria Guzmam site on www.healthecho.com? Also if you try to save the background on the list on the website it again tells you 'good things come to those who wait;?

I know, no help whatsoever...........

Apologies for the quote: I'm on another PC which is acting up.
I've been registered on the Guinness website for about five years and they send out e-mails frequently, especially if they've got a new ad campaign or promotion or stuff to "give away" Paddy's Day is a riot. And trust me, if DiagEo (sorry) want us to wait, we'll wait. All the e-mail said was "We've released the new Guinness advert on the Internet, be one of the first to see it." You click the link and Hey Presto.
A lot of work, effort and money has gone into this viral campaign and they're very protective about their flagship brand. All the clues may well be out there but I doubt it. They want people talking about this and not just on forums (fora?) and they've succeeded.
What we have to bear in mind is that it's been designed for the Great British Public which made me suspicious about the HTML on the Guzmam site. It didn't match the display and I think it was there for smart asses like us. The GBP wouldn't know a HTML tag if it bit them.
Thanks for all the work you (and select others, you know who you are) put in and BTW all other forums are either behind or ripping this one.
Sorry for the length but I didn't have anything to move us forward. As the sig says...
