Pretty sure it was on a search for images of Cthulhu. I think somone is trying to be clever.
Isn't selling an item like that bit of a violation of some intellectual property rights (copyright, trademarks, etc) of Bad Robot/Paramount/JJ Abrams/et al?

To be honest, I really hope the monster has a design we've never seen before... like the picture that dude was selling on shirts on ebay looks freakin awesome.

If/When I see the monster, I want to be surprised by what it looks like.

That's a nice take on it Rogers, you've missed the bended knee of the near leg, I think, but it would still work with some extra joints Smile

I hadn't seen this thread, I'll repost my attempt here if that's ok.

Here's my take on the monster, with 2 other variations. One more serious than the other.

I don't know what the head looks like, so I based it off the fish faced thing picured here:

Does anyone know if this was debunked? It seems to be from before the plot was revealed.

One strange feature of the monster is a dark semicircular hook shape on it's back, I haven't seen many people mention this but it's definitely there in the last few frames. I've extended this into a tentacle, as I can't see much use for a hook there.

Edit: It might be worth noting this shape from the hacked Tagruato site:

Or it might just be a red herring. with legs.
