Yeah, Apple released an update that you need to download to your iPhone to use certain features better. Little did people know the update had something hidden in it that disabled unlocked phones. You can still unlock a phone and use it but you just can't ever download any of the updates.

Ah thanks for the warnings. The hackers seem to have tackled the update issues as I have updated to OS 1.1.1 without any problems. In fact I had to use restore my factory settings and load this update in order to hack the phone...who would have thunk it?!?

What is everyone playing now? The Guiness game? Is it any good???

And who was the person who played here and then on OLS?? We had a mole amongst us??

What? She doesn't have a credit card? You have $10,000 on the way to you and you couldn't afford some clothes? Live a little!!

Hey, let us know how the paid membership thing goes. I'm curious if it's worth it.

I stopped playing the Guiness game because it's only open to residents of Great Britain. TRYING to get into Eldrich Errors but it's way into the story by now.

I just started the X Marks the Spot game. Not an ARG but there is an online scavenger hunt and many many prizes.

I went ahead and paid for the year. It lets u save your entered contests so there easier to enter each day. I honestly don't know what else is a benefit. I even forgot to add my contests the last few times, so... I don't know if it opens up bigger sweeps (bigger prizes, etc.). It says it does and I think that might be correct b/c I played for a few days and it was all small stuff.

If anyone knows more, post it. I was hoping if I won something, it might pay for the membership. Before Covet, I was a born loser. I honestly don't expect to win anything!!

Maybe the PMs would let us have a thread where we can stay in touch once all the 2nd chance drawings happen. Anyone know how to accomplish that. Then we could check in each day to see if someone has a new game, won something, and other news. I would like that b/c I'm going to miss checking here after the drawing.

Covet second chance drawing

Here are the folks who registered for the Covet Second Chance drawing so far. Hope Covet doesn't sue me for trademark violation (HA). If there is a user here who was not in play before 10/15, please PM me. Good luck all. 4 days until drawing, be sure to register, see p. 194 for details.

They are pretty decent odds, right? Good luck. I can't remember who else is doing a second chance drawing. I We'd have to check back lots of pages, but I think there were 2 others. Let's hope I get all 6 bags that they said I won!! Won't that suck if they don't do that?

I wouldn't advise the Guinness game. Even though the prize is for the UK , there are alot of US people playing it for fun. It started off great - lots of fun but suddently came to a screetching halt over a week ago. People are getting really restless as they have gone over every single detail imaginable and there has been no clue or word if there is a problem from the company. It is hard to believe a well known company would leave the customers hanging so long. People are starting to quit now. We are thinking maybe we solved some clues too fast and they are making people wait, but no one knows for sure. Covet was smart in that they only left one clue out a week - which kept the campaign going for a long time.

I'm back!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The folks at Coty were really nice. They picked my friend and I up at the hotel on Thursday evening and we rode over to LuckyShops with them. I didn't meet Sarah Jessica Parker. I don't think she was even there. However, I did catch a glimpse of Buffy, Sara Michelle Geller, and I snapped a photo of her. I didn't go up and try to talk to her; I'm a wimp that way!

My friend and I both got the Lucky VIP gift bags with tons of great shampoos, scrubs, perfumes, lotions and some really cute things like key rings, a rubber ducky, and a couple of shirts that are too small for me but will make great Christmas gifts. Most of the "heavily discounted" clothing and jewelry at the event was still priced too high for me; what I could afford was for young, thin girls, not for a heavyset mature woman! LOL!

They put us up in the Kimberly Hotel ($380 a night!!!) on 50th, which was within walking distance of Times Square. We took in three shows and did some shopping. Unfortunately, it rained on Friday and Saturday, which made it a little less conducive to sight-seeing, but we had a great time anyway. My friend's been going through a rough time personally lately, so I was so happy to be able to give her a nice trip to boost her morale.

The check is supposedly in the mail; Coty said Thursday that it was being mailed on Friday; it didn't arrive today. I guess I assumed it would be sent some way that delivery could be tracked, but maybe not.

Here are a couple of pictures. On the left is me by one of the Lucky Magazine covers on display. On the right is the cover model, Sarah Michelle Gellar. I didn't get close enough to say hello or get a picture with her (she was always surrounded by people), but it was cool to be in the same room with Buffy!

Where did u find this on the OLS site? Thanks

I wanted to be sure I had everything ready to go when my arrived so I could send them right out for folks to get by Christmas. Plus I was worried folks would leave the board, which it looks as tho might have happened since I only have 7 folks signed up.

if you would be so kind as to make sure I have the names of those that don't win yours to give them a chance in mine I would appreciate it.
