Don't have a comment about overnight but I did want to say that this I found at slashfilm rules!!!!
I love these flicks and can't wait for 4. This trailer/clip is too f*cked up. One can't see, the other can't speak and....the fun begins. I seriously wish Lionsgate or whoever would get on the ball and construct an elaborate, really awesome ARG for the Saw flicks. I mean that's all about an ARG begging to happen. It's like "the locked room" puzzles and *we* help them get free or *we* contribute to their deaths.
Come on....give us a SAW ARG for cryin out loud...yer already at 4!

You just made my night/week/month. Thank God you posted a trailer for this.
I loved all the saws, and this one looks just as crazy as the others. They shoulda done an ARG for the first one, by far the craziest and could've given us some backstory on the killer or the doctor or SOMETHING. I agree, a saw ARG is deeply in need.

Right on! Nice to meet ya then. I hear ya on the SAW ARG...it almost makes me wanna just do it myself because it requires to be done. I'm always late seeing the big ones when they come out - unless the trailers really get me or my 9yo forces me into it (and on that note I loved Land Before Time movies!)...but when I finally saw Saw 1 I was just inspired for days at what a brilliant concept that was....and masterful at that to make it predominantly between 2 characters in a room 3/4 of the whole movie and it's still compelling.
The Little Book Of Questions Gone Wild - and how many of us spent much time in conversations about what we would do if in those situations when chances are we'd never be in those situations to begin with. Talk about blurring the line of reality and unreality.
The DVD I got for Saw 1 had a game to it but it was cheesy. Doesn't look like they'll ever really do it but word to you aspiring PMs out there - a SAW inspired ARG would be awesome so please consider it!
Okay....overnight, ehhh....I'm too used to 1-18-08 but at this point I just want this to be awesome. To make up for the fact I am completely incapable of figuring out what the hell slusho zoom is supposed to mean.

Bristel Goodman tried something similar. Too many gamejacks for me to want to play.
The Human Pet is along a similar genre. I think it is still going on.

If lionsgate/twisted pictures would have made a decent ARG for saw 1, i can almost guarantee they'd have doubled their fans and their fanbase would be crazy about each and every ARG that presented itself with the new movie. Sure it would be a lot of work, but increasing your opening box office payout tenfold would be more than worth it. Not like the source material doesn't lend itself to the kind of stuff ARGs present anyway.

overnight My space? I went into the Direction of the notes on the Back of the 1-18-08 website, put together the name of Jamie Lascano, blonde on the left, located her myspace profile, numerous other characters are on her page, there a are a ton of references to wicca, and there seems to be two lateral riddles, i am terrible at riddles, i found these in comments throughout the group of friends pages (most of which can be found in the preview, even the chic with the great cans)
(these were seperatly posted)
lights go out, man cries
music stopped, woman dies
anybody?

I believe that the one about the music and the woman is out of game but the first one is from the Slusho 7, so it could mean something. I personally doubt it but who knows with this thing

More evidence that it's "Overnight"
This would appear to be the strongest evidence to date on the movie title (I admit "Overnight" has grown on me over the past few months).
If correct, I wonder if there was any IG evidence to this title that was missed…finding it via the U.S. Copyright Office seems a bit OOG (although a brilliant stroke of genius to
whoever initially found this info back in July
malemunyon ).
Ummm, I should probably do a search for the original topic on "Overnight" and repost there.
Done.

Since this is not the conventional ARG, I don't think you can call research on the USPTO site 'OOG'. The 'game' here doesn't exactly just have a whole world unto itself, this pursuit is about the information about the very real movie in the very real world.

I would agree with that assumption. If one of the goals of this ARG was to find the name from the existing sites already in play, I think reference to Overnight would have been found so most likely the name of the movie was never meant to be discovered in the first place.

you know what gets me with overnight? two things:
1) Its already been used. I would thinks JJ would want something unique. He would come up with a name significant to him, as well as the movie, and overnight doesnt seem original enough.
2) the fact that we so easily found it. Come on, it was so easy to find, yould think theyld put it under a ghost company or something.

Urban Dictionary says:
Old information in the land of online gaming. Something that has already been discovered and discussed, but is brought up as new.
But I'm pretty sure there are some fishermen(women?) on here that can give you a better explanation.
