Do we have a larger version of the posters? I am curious about the top left table.
EDIT: Oh - there are characters on top of the page:
Code:
a aleph III + o m c a

I'm trying to see if I can get something out of the symbols at the top of the posters using the phone key number/letter correspondence, but I can't quite make out a couple of the symbols clearly. Though judging by what I've got so far it seems to be gibberish using that, unless it needs to be ROT-ed afterwards.
So far I've got:

BKNKM?JB but I'm unsure about the second K.

Yep would be great if someone could come up with some high res snaps of the top left and right of the posters
The carved text on the stone Elana found should be handy. It looks the characters are split into words, so we should be able to get some clues from that (for example the middle line looks like it has the pattern "AB ACD" which can often be "TO THE"). Haven't been able to come up with anything that would make this fit yet though

Ok, think I've got it. looks like I've been barking up the wrong tree:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the writing on top of the poster spells out "eldraque", this makes the alphabet on the compass start with "a" right after 9'o clock and continues clockwise with "z" as the last letter.

That was what I used to locate "t" on the compass

Interesting, that makes a lot of sense.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So then what's the significance of the numbers on the outside of the compass? They don't seem to match up with the letters going by that rotation.

Doh! I was close, but I misread the final symbol as a ~ not an alpha, so thought it didn't fit. *smacks head*

it looks like the numbers are directly above certain letters

Okay, so going with that here's what I've got with the snap from the Youtube video so far. I can't really make out the bottom row, it's just a big smudge for the most part.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
_EOT_AND
TO THE
...EZ...
The first character I'm not exactly sure, I'm leaning towards U at the moment. I'm also unsure how many symbols exactly are in that bottom row. I've tried sharpening the picture up in Photoshop but haven't had much luck. I'll try at home later if nobody else has it by then.
Edit: This is presuming that the delta character is O, since we can't see that one yet. But it seems to make sense here.

I'm thinking it goes something like:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...AND TO THE OLDE...
Sounds like he's writing his will!
The last line looks like delta, eta, iii, O, phi
The only letters we don't have symbols for when you take into account "El Draque" and assume delta is "O", are "N", "P" and "S". These must match up somehow to "=", phi and some symbol we've not come across yet. Phi could be "S" making it "OLDES..."
*curses youtube fuzziness*

Aha!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It could be TO THE GOLD(EN) S(TATUE)... I remember a clip from the documentary about the game mentioning that they find that El Dorado isn't a place, it's a golden statue (the game is even known as "Uncharted: El Dorado no Hihou" in Japan.)

Hmm, sounds promising. That still leaves the first line though. I can't tell what that first symbol is. It looks close to a couple we already have, but not exact, so I'm wondering if it's one we haven't seen on the compass yet.

The Letter Coordinates
posted 10/30/07 @ 8:32am by Elena
Between August and September of 1578, Sir Francis Drake successfully sailed from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific by navigating through the very dangerous Strait of Magellan.
A letter attributed to 'Drake', dated 23 September 1578, has recently surfaced in a London auction house with what appears to be a random list of numbers or possible coordinates written down shortly after he reached the Pacific. I haven't yet discovered their meaning or significance, but I'd be willing to bet that these numbers have something to do with the strange "Drake" map that has turned up on craigslist .
