 		Got it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Each coordinate corresponds to a symbol on the Drake map. Assuming that phi is 'N' based on the spec of GOLDEN from the previous one, the symbols spell out DEFIANCE.

 		I wonder if the top line (or parts of it) of the message Elana found is upside down... Notice how the delta is pointing upwards but on the line below, it's pointing down...

I think that is the symbol for "S".

For me it translated to "west path to the gold...." or something along those lines.

 		I was thinking the same thing about the cheat code.

BTW, Cross, the symbols for the code are

along the arc on the sextant(?) you get a picture of when you submit "defiant" to the Brothers of Drake website.

 		I'm re-downloading the demo as I type, in the slight hope that the cheat will get past the region lock (or region-locking bug as some folks think it is)! Wink

Tis rather annoying that this clever marketing scheme has really ramped up my interest in the game and now I feel like I'm missing out on a) the demo and b) possibly part of the ARG too!

I just tried that code you guys mentioned at different speeds at the main menu, options menu, during the cutscene, during gameplay, and during the pause menu and nothing seemed to be unlocked or any clues shown.

 		Try circle after the L1, or possibly another button. The handle of the sextant looks like it might be covering one of the symbols.
