[*]Seabed's Nectar changed my way of thinking
Interesting (to me at least), Seabed Nectar is not mentioned on the Slusho website anywhere I can find. In the history section, it's still referred to as the "secret ingredient".
Sounds like this is tacit confirmation by the PM's by putting a user submitted quote in the Happy Talk section equating Seabed Nectar as the secret ingredient. Not that it was in question, but this is the first correlation I've seen IG.
I think we all pretty much drew that conclusion, but confirmation from their side allows us to refer to it as unequivocal fact.
The problem is, being a tacit confirmation it's not really unequivocal. Pretty strong implication though - and that's cool. I just wonder if that is a user generated entry or one of their own. If that list is the ONLY items now in the Happy Talk, then it appears it might now be 100% user generated.
Seabed's Nectar is mentioned on the distribution page.
Whoops...missed that one. This thing has me looking so hard for clues, I can't see the forest through the trees sometimes.

I'm pretty sure we're all agreed that Happy Talk is nothing more than random stuff people post (or random stuff they write)... correct?
Well... I was thinking about Happy Talk's insignificance when it occurred to me.... well... let me ask this question :
Does the Happy Talk changes coincide with new websites being found / updated / created?
Maybe new Happy Talk is a hint that there's something new to go find out there.

Doesn't seem like it so far... here's the history of Happy Talk changes / next update
8/21 - First Happy Talk update
8/24 - "Roar" added on 1-18-08
3 days later
10/5 - Second Happy Talk update
10/13 - Slusho "Distribution" page added
8 days later
These changes were definitely NOT there waiting to be found when the new Happy Talk came out.

Man this is tedious as hell... It's like they're half-assing it.

For sure, hardly any MySpace updates, out of all (I'm sure) real interesting or funny Your Happy talk quotes they pick mostly mediocre ones and not enough updates to sites. They dropped the ball but still can come back if more updates are given soon.

they really did drop the ball big time.
a big portion of this movies fan base stems from movie fans (not arg fans) who got interested in viral marketing and then args and cf in turn thanks to this movie but all those people are moving on to the dark knight experience thing.
what a shame.

Are we partly to blame for "them dropping the ball"? Is this in reaction to the hackergate incident, or do you guys think that that didnt make a difference. For you dedicated ARGERs, has something like that ever happened like that in another ARG, and did they go into a shut down mode?

So who's going to watch you die?...

Has there been a real MySpace update since hackergate? I don't think so.

This goes against my better judgment, but maybe exploring (nudge nudge wink wink know what I mean) some of the other sites would push the issue. It's not like we're dealing with real businesses. I know Slusho has been Trade Marked but for the most part these are fake sites, put up to promote a movie.

No ball to be dropped Since we've often wondered ( out loud ) whether this was an ARE versus an ARG, the fact that there are no mysteries to be solved, and no games to be played, that this is an ARE.
I mean the password did get "leaked" but no mysteries there, just backstory, and the same for mySpace ... backstory, experiencing the universe that Cloverfield/Overnight/Chuai/Kawaii/Chutia takes place in.
No?
I'm new to the concept, obviously.

The Slusho site has a store function, so gaining full access and control (like was done to the MySpace account) would mean at least the possibility of having access to personal information possibly including credit card numbers or account numbers. That would be a crime . So as has been said before, just don't do it!
For those many that can't seem to see the difference between gaining access to the videos on jamieandteddy.com and breaking into a Photobucket or MySpace account - you can not change the content of the site by using the password "jllovesth" on the jamieandteddy.com site nor does that allow you the credentials to alter the site, it's registration, or access any personal data on the site. That was obviously a clearly and carefully partitioned off area we were meant to gain access to because we can NOT do anything destructive there.
Does that make enough sense now?
Encouraging hacking into the full access of a site not only could threaten the continuation of this campaign, but it could threaten the willingness of any company or organization to ever conduct a Chaotic Fiction ARG or viral campaign. Would you put on one if you thought a possible side effect was the hijacking of your website and potential destruction of all of your content, let alone even worse in the form of vandalism?

New Happy Talk? Is the Happy Talk on the Slusho site new since the release? I have seen a few that I have not seen mentioned:
-Slush makes my stomach explode with happy
-So why is the number 6 so important to Slusho?
-Drinking Slusho has made me Plusho
-Slusho makes my toes happy like the whales
-yeeeeeeeee ahhhhhhh! What's the upward notion of your doings?
- i feel as if thE other LIquids i consumer are SubPar
-Bryan happy! Slusho happy! Everyone happy!
-I want to go on a boat and drink the magic ingredient pure!
- Slusho make good in my belly
-I no longer fidget with sadness
- My grandmother says Niriko isn't real. How much Slusho should I feed her to make her believe?
If these are old, I apologize. Didn't see them in the search.
