I got a new computer along with world of warcraft so ive been hopelessly addicted to that, while completely ignoring my yahoo mailbox. I actually felt kinda guilty because I thought for SURE there would be another video out by now, and i wasnt there to help.

THIS SUCKS.

Someone needs to tell the PM theyre gonna lose people, fast. This is just plain inconsiderate. I mean, we were real good about havin to wait like 6 months for phase 2, and now that its started hes dickin with us again? not cool. 6 months should be more than enough time to make MULTIPLE videos, and have things lined up to keep us hooked.

This is the first time im seriously considering just quitting... has anyone heard from Sam Slothcot lately?

I've been thinking about this on a kind of global scale. AS it stands right now he has a handful of people that are highly involved in his game. That is only counting unfiction. Are there other people on other sites playing along as well? I don't know any other ARG sites and I don't care too because I like it here, but let's assume we are it. About 15 of us give or take who are following him and solving his puzzles. In the grand scheme of things would that make this game successful or not. Since this is the first game of this nature I have played I don't know what is considered a success. How long do they usually last? This game feels to me like it could have gone on for a year tops, possibly 6 or 7 months and been more successfult then than now. Kind of like the whole quitting while your ahead deal. I guess it also depends on what the PMs goals and intents are. He obviously is not pushing a product (whose to say that whole horror movie that Sue's hubby was shooting isn't really coming out, hehe) so it leads me to believe his sole purpose is entertainment. Just something I've been thinking about lately because the only reason I have been playing ARG's is because I was approached to set one up for a horror movie site. I am just trying to figure out the eternal question of what makes a good game. I have put timing at the top of my list. Whether a game goes on for months or years there has to be a steady flow of information coming from the PM. There are so many games popping up that it is too easy to lose people to games that are more ready to meet the players needs. Is this the general concensus?

ok ive just had an idea. its a bit far-out and very unlikely, but it might explain why mr deercot has been so quiet...

maybe, just maybe, the "hostile takeover" he was talking about was meant to be us rebelling against him. maybe we were supposed to go "fuck this for a game of soldiers, youve made us wait so long we dont care what happens to eric any more etc etc", which would prove our loyalty to and empathy for him. maybe its all part of the story and we are required to do this for him to give us more info?

or maybe, phase two is totally up to us, and he has already done everything he was intending to do? he revealed quite a bit of plot in the last vid, so maybe we are required to make our own mind up about the rest of it, and come to our own conclusions about what it all means? this would certainly satisfy the part about us being more active.

i dunno. what i DO know is that someone was stabbed in the face and neck at the end of my road last night. it was right outside the pub where i was like 3 hrs before. not good.

also, does anyone else find it weird that hes totally gone off the whole bible theme?
