Bleh, I'm not sure the game is working ok for me... I haven't been able to save my scores, even though it keeps saying "Score Submitted" every time. It's a little sour as I just beat the crap out of the current high-score on Basic mode... (I got really lucky and cleared the level twice early on, which earned me two 50,000 bonuses).
I also haven't gotten any of the error messages yet... I wonder if there's a problem somewhere

I haven't gotten any yet either, Giskard, and I can't seem to stop myself from playing every time I turn on my computer...
EDIT: Strike that - I *did* get an error code, finally, but it didn't have a message or anything - just Error Level / Code. I wonder if it's because I'm using Firefox, or if there are just some null errors? Harrumph.

i'm using Firefox 2.0 and probably not the latest Flash version plugin. I got an error code screen tonight (a new one, 033) and posted it to the wiki.
My concern is that i'm not receiving any emails from the game. I was even the first to unlock a key (for Postpone) and didn't even get an email into my spam folder. Do i blame AOL?

Are you playing on basic? I've seen most of my codes in Power and Survival, and there seem to be different ones depending on which powers you pick.

I didn't get any e-mail from when I unlocked one to. I had to use my e-mail server (Linux and Postfix), and it worked fine. I think it might have something to do if the name or e-mail you eneter has any numbers in it.

Something interesting from the ErrorCodes (refering to Primacy from the Numb3rs Episode):
Quote:
* This game is a chance to do it right - everything they +said+ they
* wanted to do in Primacy: user-generated economy, fractal markets,
* open-source currency. When push came to shove they threw it all
* away in favor of corporate sponsorship and in-game advertising and
* cheeseball sweepstakes. Now we make them pay for that mistake.

Just FYI, I switched from Firefox to IE and now my scores are being recorded and I'm also getting the occasional errormessage.

random guess: which versions of Flash plugins do you have installed in each browser? (i'm told they can be different, but I don't know what minimum version you might need to upgrade your Firefox plugin to.) Chain Factor does need to access their server after the local game ends, to upload scores and deliver an error screen (not stored within the .swf), but this has run fine in my Firefox v2.0 with Flash 9 plugin installed.

My name is rose and I'm a chain factor addict. Ok, chain factor is without question the most addictive game I've ever played. I haven't read the in-game forum at all. It interferes with playing.
I haven't even looked into the error codes or the ARG...how addicting does a game have to be to keep me from playing the ARG?? I think I'm going to need a support group or to just unplug to stop playing this game.
By the way, thanks to everyone who is playing the ARG and unlocking those codes. The unlocked power skills are helping my game. I can't compete with the experts in math, as I tend to get bored with making a plan as I go, and just click randomly to make patterns in the middle of a game, but I did reach over 400,000 points and made 20th on the daily leader board yesterday... who would have predicted that?

Ha rose, so you don't realize that we're now working to get the codes to shut the game down?
But in all seriousness this has been a very enjoyable game for me. I'm surprised at how compelling a story they've made with no real interaction, 2 characters who we already know the fates of and a single website with the flash game to play. Oh, and the puzzles have been pretty neat to boot!
Bravo creators, whoever you may be
My, doesn't error code 042 look funny, and I wonder who these Gregory, Ian and Dave fellows that submitted it to jayisgames are

?
No, I didn't know that. I haven't followed anything with the story.
Shutting it down will save all of those of us addicted to the number chains.
I haven't seen error code 42.

The story is being revealed thru the error messages. We've stored them on a wiki page for easy reading. (Some of them are almost impossible to trigger intentionally.) From there you can scroll down to 042.
