Dichotomy? Reality? Irony?

Anybody notice that all of the characters so far. All of the deuces seem to question the establishment. Those who seek to control, influence, assert an unquestioned power. Psychiatry. Academia. Criticism. Promote openmindedness and critical thinking versus the corporation who nefariously seeks to control study. But wait. The deck has its own structure. It's own rules and system of control. It silences its members for speaking out of turn, releases what it calls answers and truth in fits and starts, choosing who is worthy to receive and desiminate information. 2D says criticism of art which merely passes judgment is to be avoided. Noble to be sure but his own words are somewhat critical.

I'm not necessarily saying that things are exactly the reverse of what they seem though this could prove to be true i mean that the korporation presents its view forthrightly it's ugly loathsome view of people as consumers to be manipupulated. The deck on the other hand purports itself by the very system it professes to be against. I don't know that they do this intentionally or with ill-intent. I'm part of the system in my own way. have my prejudiced. my judgments. The boards have rules. Admin with special priveleges. What gets posted where. Who gets kept out or sanctioned. This is far from evil. The thing is to acknowledge this and to be balanced and careful

This is far more complex than two opposing sides methinks.
with my nod to our own rules, if this is in the wrong place, please move
mgelles who is new here and will stop rambling

I think it's a little unfair to the cards to say they go against what they teach because of having a system of control.
They're not anti-order or anything like that.

But don't stop rambling~ I find it very insightful to know what passengers think. :D

I agree, in fact, the deck has stated that it is not anti-corporation, but anti-Korporation, where Korporation is symbolic of all the corruption, greed, and manipulation.

So far I absolutely love the mystique and the grandiosity of silverladder. It strives to be so much more than a game, instead being an enlightening shared experience that all passengers will hopefully be able to take away something from.
