Yeah, I don't know quite of what to make of it myself.
though thinking about it, it could just be a thing about the fact that we have awakened from our pre-game state into the game state, which is still going from a dream into a dream.

Now, that thought makes better sense. But, I still couldn't help feel the way I did whence I first clicked upon that link.
Hopefully this explanation is suited better and is the actual forethought.

what really makes me uneasy is one of the links off of the hypnogogia page...
bout halfway down the page under "see also"
-Tetris Effect-
Ive definatley had this occurance happen to me after playing too much of one particular video game...Doom and THPS3 come to mind in particular.
this can also be applied to obsessing about one particular game too much.

Yup, Pokémon Puzzle League on Nintendo 64. It wouldn't have been much of a trouble if only the curtains in my bedroom hadn't looked so much like chess boards....
EDIT: Also, I think all the sleep-related links are intended to keep you feeling like it's all a dream. And that, maybe, you're going to wake up and see everything around you for the first time.

yeah, some of us in Chat noticed that last night, First it had a video (which can now be found here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=_7XChHIAfYU )
then it changed to a few lines about a fire sale, and how everything had to go with a bit in parentheses about how our friend still had a sense of humor, then it changed to the "your attention" story backward with an added line "be sure to tip your server, and try the veal" or something to that effect, and then about five minutes later it changed again, now the veal line was gone, and was replaced with Linus' letter to the great pumpkin) and the it changed one last time to it's current form.
no I am not making up the bit about the letter to the great pumpkin.
edited because for some reason it had the last half of a URL tag.

I enjoyed that last night. It kept changing rapidly. It was like a live performance by the Two of Clubs.
One thing I appreciate about this particular ARG, or whatever it is, is the unpredictability and the overall just general... craziness it seems to manifest. Much fun.

I have been working on the timeline on despoiler. It is far from complete, but getting there. It might answer some questions, but not many. You have to remember, there isn't going to be a 'walkthrough' because we are all taking different numbers of steps on this journey. Each person should/will get many different things from this experience, btu they may not be the same things gained as the next person. Personal growth is just that, personal.
