[QUESTION] Taragrauato Corp
Question

This has been mentioned somewhere that the station in the Atlantic closest to NYC, has been named. As for reference we all know that the stations have all been named for ancient Japanese emperors. Now has anyone been able figure out if any differences between the emperors exist, and why would the one station we believe to be the creator be named Chuai? Guys I have been looking all day and still cannot figure any real reasons, that is prolly the case, but none the less maybe something great!

The reason people think the Chuai station is related to the monster is its proximity to NYC and the fact that it's still "under development."

As to the name "Chuai" - He was the last of the 14 "legendary" emperors of Japan, i.e., they weren't real people. But, the 15th emperor, Ojin, is believed to have been a real person. Ojin was, according to legend, the son of Emperor Chuai and Empress Jingu.

Also, according to Wikpedia:

Quote:
According to these same legends, his wife was suddenly possessed by some unknown gods. The gods promised Emperor Chūai rich lands overseas. Chūai then looked to the sea, but he could see nothing and denounced his belief in the promises of the gods. The gods were enraged by this and declared that he would die and never receive the promised land. Instead they would go to his conceived but unborn son. The legend then states that Chūai died soon after and his widow, Jingū, conquered the promised land, which is conjectured to be part of modern day Korea. According to one version of the legend, Chūai's son was born three years after the death of Chūai, which lends further support to the notion that the stories surrounding him are based on myth rather than actual events. This legend also has many other flaws (it claims that Jingu was flown into the middle of the promised land and then conquered into Japan) which have largely discredited the story among historians.

I don't know what any of this means, but that's all that seems to stand out about Chuai (from a very brief bit of research).

How about the idea of Chuai looking over to see the sea and seeing nothing? This could play on the idea that Tagruato have looked over the sea and only seen the deep-sea nectar (ie nothing - it's materialistic and profit-driven), while they missed the real thing in the sea - the monster. Also, the idea that Chuai led to the demise of the 'legendary emperors' just like Chuai will lead to the demise of Tagruato and New York.

Just a thought.

Hmmm...
Think maybe the monster will be called Ojin?
Doesn't have to be the title of the movie after all...

makes some sense

this all makes sense, and from what all I have read the big 14 and all their stories seem to make sense in naming them, but I feel as to where we are missing something in relation to their names and stories behind, I think alot of us have quit digging and looking because so much is made up and used when they want us to use it, but this may be that one time, I think we found slusho to early, and same goes for jamie and teddy, so they had to put the password on here so that we could continue playing/ following without any hardships

Maybe this has already been posted, but I spent some time last week updating the drilling station entry in the wiki, and noticed that on the interactive drilling map, the number of employees corresponds to the (oil?)output of the station - the more employees, the bigger the station. Since Chuai has the most employees, even though we don't know it's output, it would make it the biggest & most ambitious station Tagruato has attempted so far.

Second, the stations were opened in the same chronological order as the reigns of the emperors that they are named after. So this one could simply be called Chaui because there are 14 stations, and he was the last of the "legendary" 14 Japanese emperors.

You can see the table & more info for yourself here:
