[WEBSITE] yearzero.nin.com
Official website for the album by Nine Inch Nails

nin.yearzero.com

The offical website for NIN's new album "year zero".
The website also ties in with the ARG.

The first time I saw the website it consisted solely of the track listing for the new album(If it was different earlier please post).
Beside the track "My Violent Heart" is a weird graphical glitch reminiscent of the ones on some other sites. This was then the first track to be "leaked" at a show in Lisbon, Portugal 02/11(12?)/07 .

Another update(date?) came in the form of another "glitch" next to the track "Me, I'm Not" just before the song was released at via USB drive at a concert in Barcelona, Spain 02/18/07.

Today(02/22/07) a movie was posted that when freeze framed at the point 00:12.24 says /0024. Leading to HERE

There you go a brief summary of this website so far. If I missed anything please post it, and keep any updates/discussion about it in here.

Edit: After having been able to go over the latest update myself this is what I saw.
The video is of someone driving through the desert and seeing "The Presence" come down from the sky. It's creepy.
At the end of the video there is some strange noise. I'm wondering if someone can't put that through a spectrograph and see if there is anything there. I don't know what to use myself, so if you know please post a link. Link
The image in the /0027/ directory appears to be the "Year Zero" cover art. According to the name of it any way. Razz

the tracklist wasn't there initially - just a bunch of 'character not found' type squares, similar to what's currently at the bottom of the page, but spaced out so we knew how many tracks there were, and how many letters each one had.

interestingly, there was a brief period where more than 16 potential tracks were displayed, prompting / perpetuating the rumour that there will be another album to follow this one, set in the same universe.

there's an animation here Smile

id say the different number of tracks might be singles, DVDs or remixed albums like "further down the spiral" and "closer to god" etc

the tracklist has now gone (which might put the lid on any number-theories involving it), and you can now download the survivalism video.

also - we have a section on unfiction dedicated to year zero now. woot Smile

Well since every body is getting excited here about the nin.net changes, Wink , I thought I would mention the recent changes to nin.com.

This page has been updated with two links to info about the soon to be released (11/20/07) yearzeroremixed.
Supposedly the page will be updated again in the near future with a media player streaming the album.

If any thing is going to happen with this before YZ2 comes out I think it would be with this.
