thats a great point cuz when i saw that i was like "wtf?" that makes no sense they would blurr the face out like that... i mean unless its like samuel l jackson or something... but in that case we'd know the monster would get a nice @$$ whoopin...

 		From the opening text, I'm speculating that New York didn't "get over" whatever happened. It's not "Central Park," it's "the area formerly known as Central Park."

If I had to guess (assuming that there is a mosaic and not just shoddy image quality), I'd say it's a possibility that the setup of the movie is post event, as if the government recovered the camera and is replaying the footage for whatever purpose.

Which would mean that our intrepid heroes dropped the camera in their hustle to get out, or none of them made it.

Before I say anything, I just want to say, I'm sorry for doubting this, doubting everything. I guess I just wanted proof, and now I have it, AND MAN, DOES IT KICK ARSE!! JFTeran, we all owe you something massive.

As for the mosaic thing at 0:54, I noticed that too, and was just about to post about it. Do you think maybe after the army got a hold of the tape, they pixellated all of their personnel's faces so no-one could be held singularly responsible for whatever happened?

 		Judging by the picture of Liz with the injuries. I would say that it seems there is a bandage on her shoulder, I would asume a bite or claw mark. Looks like most of the blood originated from that wound.

Unless the proportions are just retarded, I would think that a Giant Godzilla sized monster would make a slightly larger bite/claw mark on a 100 lb woman. I was skeptical of the theory about (parasite) mini monsters, but I gotta say, this photo might be the strongest piece of evidence for me.

Also the blood coming from her eyes and mouth are obviously enternal. So does this make us believe that there is indeed a plague related to the creature(s) attack and perhaps that is the biggest threat of all?

 		Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I'm starting to doubt that The Shapes are actually monsters due to one thing: there's a guy in glasses sitting right in front of them acting totally nonplussed about the whole thing. Confused 1:05 you get a good look at his head.

I guess they really are Hazmat suits.

Oh, and it kinda sorta looks like the woman expands and, um, blows up at the end. Shocked (again, probably already discussed ad nauseum, but wow) This whole plague thingy would be why the movie was code-named Parasite for a while, methinks.

Hmm. Good catch on the pixelization of the soldier face. Some theories:
1) It could be, as someone suggested, an intentional blurring done by the military to obscure the identity of a soldier, perhaps a soldier that was killed in battle.
2) It could be that the actor in that scene was later replaced by a different actor, and they wanted to use the scene but didn't have budget to go reshoot it. This parallels the theory that the Jamie at jamieandteddy.com is never seen in the trailer, but the "Rob's awesome" girl might have been an early version of Jamie.
3) Maybe it's, I don't know, Teddy Hanssen, and they don't want us to put that together just yet.

 		another thing i noticed watching live that u might not be able to tell from the quality of the trailer is the scene in the beginning from the teaser when the SoLs head comes crashing down... the head looked WAYYY and i mean WAYYY more realistic... it def. looked like they did some editing for the specific older scene...

 		Here's a question. The helicopter scene at the end - how come there are two shots from the outside of the helicopter as it's moving (the one of it taking off and the one of it going all spasmo) and then the rest of the helicopter shots are from the inside?

The first scenes are at night, the last scene is early morning. Its light out.
