[SPEC] Interesting things in trailer at timecode 1:20-1:22 the big things happen here, perhaps? As my "1st" post (although I've also posted as T.H.O.R._01 in guest mode) I wanted to point out the 2 second clip from cloverfield. There are two big and huge things I see and hear.
1:20-21: There is that shrieking sound. It sounds like it could be either a woman or it could be something else.
1:21-22 (and part of three): The military shooting at something, I see what seems a figure moving off to the right.
If anyone knows anything about this already, let me know where to look because things are slim and I haven't seen anyone else reference this yet.
Edit: Tagged and clarified. -SpaceBass

The thing moving behind the buildings is almost certainly the monster, yes. Somewhere in the forums someone has a nice, slow-mo version of that clip that shows it quite nicely. Big, green, seemingly bipedal.

While waiting, for any lurkers, I'm proposing that monster looks smokey to me. A smokey monster? With fire coming out of it's feet apparently? Hmm, maybe im all twisted.

rather than the monster being "smoky" per se... it could be that what we are seeing there is a red herring and actually is literally smoke (and debris, from the aftermath of where the monster just WAS rather than IS).. i have waffled on this issue myself.. i just have trouble making out the shape of any sort of organic form in that spot, even though all context points to it being the monster..

Welcome wizzade.
Couple more things (in addition to the PM I sent about your avatar size, and tagging your thread). If you need to add more to something you have posted, and yours is the most recent post in the thread - please just edit your existing post rather than making 2 or more posts in a row.
When threads become very long, people stop reading them. This leads to repetative "I didn't want to read the whole thread, did someone already mention this?" type posts (which usually has something in it that was already mentioned a few times earlier in the same thread).
Thanks!!!

I gotta say, all I see is smoke. I've read posts of people saying they can see legs and what not, but I honestly see nothing but moving smoke.

If you just see smoke when the monster's onscreen this probably won't help much, but here's what I see (or think I see, depending on your POV):
Head with a possible horn-like protrusion from the back
Long neck
Back w/possible spines
What looks to be a small glimpse of the right grasping arm (no view of the claws)
Right leg
A very small possible glimpse of the tail (could be that I'm just expecting to see one since it looks so saurian)
The monster maintains cohesion the entire time without swirling, dissipating or any other smokey things.

[SPEC] Definitely humanoid shaped?
Honestly, it almost looks like the statue of liberty to me, the "back" looks like it rounds out some like Mushmouth's hat.
I first thought this was low and looking up, this is actually from a high vantage point looking down. I don't think this is the whole "thing" whatever this "thing" may be. At first I thought I saw a leg, but I now think it's a structure falling over.
I realized this "height" after looking at the building on the right, we're looking at the top of it.
My original attempt:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t259/louis_b_tique/Cloverfield/monstersightingsteadysmall.gif
"Black border removed"
animated gif
This took me an hour and 20 minutes, but basically I took the animated gif, and tried to line up the "squares" on the building in the middle, where the monster was at, presumably.
This is why the "image boundary" moves around. If someone tells me how, I can send them the XCF ( Gimp ) that I used to create this.
I thought it'd show nothing, but now I think there is some "hint" of the monster there ( "hint" not as in a clue, but as in a tease )
Please someone appreciate this.

THATS SO COOL!
could you by any chance expand the canvas and make the background black...? that would eliminate the moving
my eyes can't help but follow the outline...

I tried to but there's an "inherent" frame.
I think the 2nd attempt is worse.
Oh, it's in my original post, so look up there!
