[SPEC] Call Sheet, Hud and relation to monster

Here's my theory:

Hud is infected and turns into monster and comes after the group, hence the reason why Rob is recording at the end of the film.

My evidence: The call sheet
http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2007/08/clover_field_wraps_and_weve_got_the_call_sheet.html

Scene A130 Hud figures out how to get into Beth's building.

Also: Special Instructions: Costumes: Hud Costume for Matt/Mike/Chris
Three people need to operate one character?

Movies are not always filmed in chronological order, and since much of it will be animated, it's hardly possible to tell whether those pictures show the actual ending.

And no, I don't think people will get "infected" as the official trailer shows no hint of that. In any movie where infection plays a key role, they would state it.

Of course they don't shoot in chronological order, please do not condescend me. I felt this way only after seeing all of the evidence so far, all of the new press photos, the trailer, etc... There are things in the call sheet that have come true in the new trailer. Rob's scene in the tunnel which was first posted by nooneimportant77, the horse carriage appearing from the debris field. The fact that they used the word "costume" suggests more than special effects makeup nor a costumer providing Hud's outfit. This isn't "Memoirs of a Geisha" with elaborate costumes where three people would be involved.
It is a common plot device to have "one of our own" become evil and it makes perfect sense to me that they would put their own spin on it.

While an interesting theory, I think that evidence doesn't conclusively support it.

I think that Beth leaves the party early (to go to work or something the next day - she IS the responsible one), and goes home and goes to bed. Hence the PJs in the pictures, her absence in all the party-pandemonium scenes and the trailer w/ Rob on his phone trying to call Beth. I think the stuff goes down, they're like "we need to find beth, is she ok??" So they (Hud/Rob) go to her building to find her and she's not answering, the security system's broken, she's asleep/unconscious, or something etc. and they have to figure out how to get inside. Nerd-o Hud figures out some MacGyver way to get in. (All assuming that call sheet is accurate and wasn't a plant, which has also been speculated)

The 3 Hud costumes are probably for his stunt doubles, because it seems like Hud's going to die at some point & go on a trek though NYC under attack. They could need more than 1 stunt double for different 'stunts' - one's a gymnast, one specializes in getting set on fire, one does staged fights, etc. Doesn't mean he's a monster and they're puppeteers.

Run. Hurry. Scamper. Flee. Retreat. Leave the premises of yonder beastie. That kind of thing.

I think you hit it on the nose. The 3 guys for Hud are most definitely stuntmen, thats the way it came off to me at least. Also, some studios use more than one stuntman for the same stunt and choose which one performs it best while maintaining the integrity and appearance of the character.
As far as getting into her apartment, this can mean a lot of things. Maybe they had gotten seperated and in the morning, if any of them survive, they are suppose to meet at Beth's apartment. Or, JoJo's explaination is right.

Question in relation to this video:

http://www.movieweb.com/video/V07HQOYiZnk54K

Why is he setting-up/taking-down another camera?

Is it for "News" footage to be watched, some sort of "behind the scenes: the making of" to release later, or does it imply that HUD's camera wont be the only POV... ?

I don't think these guys are stuntmen, but cameramen...the Hud costume is probably his clothing and each cameraman is dressed in his clothing for continuity...Hud could be walking behind them saying his lines. Lets face it, the actor, TJ Miller, is not shooting this movie...professional cameramen are (albeit in a handheld format)...Why would the Hud character need three stunt doubles and no other character gets a stunt guy? It doesn't make sense.

The callsheet is actually quite interesting...when it was leaked back in August, a lot of people called it fake, but seeing the trailer and productions stills...it's obviously genuine. Also, you will notice there were TWO endings shot...one with Rob and Beth huddled together in Central Park and an ALTERNATE ending where they "haul ass" to a helicopter.

Yes, it's probably a true call sheet, but just a quick correction. The alternate ending doesn't say "haul ass" to a helicopter. There's no helicopter even mentioned. The alternate ending says the same as the reported normal ending:

EXT.CENTRAL PARK - UNDER BRIDGE
Rob, Beth ignore chaos, focus on each other

EXT.CENTRAL PARK - UNDER BRIDGE
ALTERNATE ENDING - Rob, Beth ignore chaos, focus on each other

I think this is my favorite part, as it matches the trailer nicely:

EXT. MANHATTAN STREET
Horse-drawn carriage emerges from dark debris

Finally, to add more credence to the cameramen in Hud's clothing hypothesis, look at the call sheet. It tells you who's involved in the scenes. T.J. Miller isn't listed, despite the character being involved in the scenes where the cast member number 3 is noted. I'm guessing Hud is character "3", but T.J. wasn't needed because his role was being filled by actual cameramen Matt, Mike and Chris. Just a theory.

re: the three cameramen theory... clever, I like that better that what I thought originally. That seems very, very likely.

Looks like he at least gets his hands on the equipment - see here.

Agreed on the costumes for cameramen idea. If the camera angles down and points at Hud's body, or his hands and arms get into the shot, or say he collapses in the subway with his legs in view, then the clothing has to match.

I like that theory as well, a first person scene as Hud tries to enter Beth's building and three cameraman costumed as Hud capturing footage to be compiled to create the optimum scene. I will go back on my speculation and follow this theory instead.

Part of my reasoning for Hud being transformed was due to the fact that a.) there is a creature that seems people-sized from what it seems from the press photos and I wasn't feeling the creature offspring, a la Godzilla 1998, and b.) the transformation/infection of Marlena as shown in the 2nd trailer & press photos.
