Looks like the page
http://www.freewebs.com/doyouseeit/n.htm

comes from this page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nachzehrer

http://www.freewebs.com/doyouseeit/o.htm seems to refer to an Ouroboros.

There is another page, the "Theory" page that has a quote from "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"

Im working on the translation for the Chinese (maybe Chinese) Characters.

Quote:
And remember, we are not nxnfun. Have you ever posed as someone else,
just to ruin their reputation?

At first I thought this was refering to the LJ page as OOG or maybe a gamejack. But if this game just got going, I don't think someone would do that this early.

Just a quick rundown of what I was able to find from that link...
Several of the links led to a page coppied from Wikipedia, with blanks in the place of the word Nachzehrer. It describes a legendary German entity similar to a vampire.

There was at least one seamingly nonsensical page with the text:
This is 24 Karat.
You are 24 Karat.
Do you please your wife anymore?

Some interesting stuff about cycles and the possibility that the universe has been figured out and replaced with something stranger.

So far..interesting...cryptic...lots of questions, but I'm not sure that this is going anywhere story wise....

In reality there's only like 4-5 different pages, there are just a lot of links to them. Don't fret =)

Also, soon after arriving home from work I received another text with this address: http://freewebs.com/doyouseeit/snoitcartsid.htm

I saw that page last night, when it only said "Nothing to see here Smile" (with no link - although hidden in the source was the word "yet"). Now there are three more links down at the bottom of the page. One leads to dada.htm which has a bunch of links to various art subjects on wikipedia, although some lead elsewhere, and the links are sometimes split so that one letter in a word can be a link to somewhere else entirely! Surprised

For example, the two t's in "literature" and the r and a in "cultural" go to different places. That last one goes to a VIDEO in which 12212012 figures heavily, but with flashes of other things. I'm playing the pause/play game with it right now, but don't have screencap software here. Anyway the first flash just says:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Oh god!
Oh god!
They've been here all along!
There are THOUSANDS of them!
EDIT: The other flashes say the same thing. There are two other flashes of some blurry pixelated shape at :15 and :25, but I have no kl00 what it could be.

Sounds like maybe the Indigo Children run the website, and nxnfun is against the Indigo Children and has the LJ.

I haven't gotten any kind of reply since I sent them my info. Sad

You have been walking this planet for so long. your fellow humans are no longer evolving, but developing. Isn't it time for an awakening? Quote:
Usually, we look at a thing in the usual sort of way
which usually means that we usually don't see it as it usually is
but rather, we see it as we usually see it.
The Post-Dogmatist however, decides to look at a thing in an unusual kind of way
compared to how he would usually see it.
This usually gives him the unusual opportunity
to see the thing as it usually is rather than as he usually sees it.
The great advantage of this is that he is usually able,
through this unusual experience,
to begin to change his usual way of seeing things in general
toward being more in accord with the way things usually are
and less is accord with how people usually see them.
This is considered, of course, to be of great benefit.

You see, a thing is usually in its usual condition,
which is to say, it is usually existing in its true nature, its natural state,
in fact, it is very unusual for a thing not to be in its usual condition.
That is why it is usually best, when things seem to be unusually out of sorts,
to do something very unusual and change your usual way of seeing things.
Usually, things seem unusually out of sorts
because we are not looking at them in their usual condition
but rather, looking at them in our usual way
and because of this, we are usually confused.

You see, looking at things in the usual way
causes things to seem different that they usually are.
When this is the case,
we usually respond to things in a way that is unusual
to the nature of the thing we are looking at.
This usually causes a thing to respond back to us
in a way that is unusual to its nature.
For, it is usually the case, that a thing usually determines what its true nature is
in accordance with how everything else around it usually responds to it.
Therefore, since we usually respond to a thing
in a way that is unusual to the thing's true nature,
it usually responds back to us reciprocally,
based on how we usually respond to it.
This usually causes us to think that the way we usually look at a thing
is in accordance with the way a thing usually is and this is, as usual, the problem;
that a person usually sees a thing as he usually sees it
and usually will not consider the possibility
that his usual way of seeing a thing
is unusual to the thing that he is seeing.

It is usually very difficult to get a person to look at a thing
in a way that is unusual to his usual way of seeing it.
Usually, unusual circumstances are required
so that the unusualness of his usual way of seeing
becomes unusually apparent to him, affording him the very unusual opportunity
to see a thing as it usually is
without his usual problem of seeing it as he usually sees it.
Now, usually, this will be such an unusual experience
that he will usually try to revert to his us usual way of seeing.
But, having had the unusual opportunity of seeing a thing as it usually is
rather than as he usually sees it,
he will usually feel unusually uncomfortable trying to maintain his usual way of seeing.
However, because of this unusual experiences of having seen a thing as it usually is
rather than the way he usually sees it, he has,
usually unwittingly, begun the unusual process
of questioning his usual way of seeing a thing
which, a person usually never ever does except under very unusual circumstances.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

Just to let you know...
Both Indigo Children and 2012 are tied into the New Age belief structure.
Indigo Children are children believed to be born with 'special abilities' sometimes even linked to psychic phenomenon (although my vote is they are just clever). New Agers have even been known to create special schools for these children who, it is sometimes said, will save the world when the time comes. The time being (in many new age belief structures) 2012 - which as was mentioned before - is the ending of the Mayan Calendar (maybe they just ran out of ink - wouldn't that be some funny cosmic joke). And it is believed by some that the world itself will change drastically and by others that it will be more of a 'shift in consciousness'. So what with the theories of Gods, Aliens and general chaos it should be fun no matter what! Smile Hope this game turns into something more - I know I will keep an eye!

Did anyone else notice that the links hidden in the code on http://freewebs.com/doyouseeit/snoitcartsid.htm are followed by the word "Lies"? I'm sure that's significant somehow, or will be later, at least...

Actually, it appears that the entire sequence of http://www.freewebs.com/doyouseeit/ (letter from "a" to "o" here) .htm exists. I remember seeing one that had the text "Do you believe in magic?" that did not appear to be linked to from any known site. It led to a pic, but nothing from there. This whole thing seems a bit sketchy...running into a few dead pictures and the like...

Anyway...Was the bar code always on the blinky page? I don't remember seeing it there before.

Personal Info

I'm all squirmy about giving out my personal info. I feel like I'm announcing my measurements. You guys really gave the site your real names and numbers? I just sent an email WITHOUT that info and instantly got another email asking for it. SO I'm A-gonna lie. I'm going to say I'm Elise Sturgis. I guess I'll give them my address and number though, since millions of telemarketers seem to have those anyway.

EDIT:
I sent this-I'll let you know if I get anything back:

1) Elise Sturgis

2) blah blah

3) blah blah

4) I am a Doctor of Philosophy and a professional actor. Therefore, I know a great deal of information about a variety of topics and I am comfortable assuming different identities, both of which skills sets should be beneficial to any spy.

5) The Mirror

6) I always ask 'why'. I am unsuitable as a minion, and refuse to take any order on blind faith. I do, however, have a deep sense of loyalty and commitment, and will diligently pursue any responsibility I am given.

I gave them the real details, yeah. For me, pretty much all of that stuff is attainable through some simple internet searches <meta>and they obviously already had my cell number anyway</meta> so yeah. Also, here's what I wrote, since we're sharing that:

Esteed wrote:
1. Jerry *last name edited to avoid phishers*

2. *address edited for the same reason* I live with others, so special precautions may need to be taken for sensitive materials.

3. My cellular number is *number edited for...yadayada*. That is the safest and most direct line to me. Given that I share my living space, the home line is neither safe nor a certainty to be directly to me.

4. I should be considered because I have a natural knack with people, sometimes without even realizing it. I have found, through working jobs that require direct relations to people, that even when I thought I was just doing my job, I have apparently made them feel at ease enough to chat as if with someone they know, as well as receiving accolades from my employers for my people skills. If you need a spy, they generally need to be pretty good at ferreting out ways to get people to reveal information, and I seem to have a natural ability to do so. Also, judging from the final question, the work may require morals that are a bit more flexible than others, and well...let's just say I doubt I'd have a problem with that.

5. Assuming I am chosen to be an operative, I would like to be called Prometheus.

6. For the most part. The nature of the job will require certain orders to be carried out without question. However, given I know so little of the organization I would be employed under, I cannot guarantee that I would not ask questions should I be tasked with illegal activities. Other than that, I doubt there would be a problem.

So I've seen this word "gamejack" used on a couple of other threads but it's not listed in the glossary. Can someone enlighten as to it's meaning?

To my knowledge, a gamejack is a sort of 3rd party red herring...An attempt by someone not running the game to plant bad information.
