That first photograph, showing one skyscraper partially fallen into another, appears to be of Time Warner Center, at 10 Columbus Circle:

Upon review of the trailer at Apple, I am convinced that is Time Warner Center, and I believe that the monument in the centre of the Columbus Circle traffic circle has been destroyed:

The second photo appears to be of lower Manhattan, from the air. Presumably shot in the same ride that passes by the headless Statue of Liberty.

Now, scratch that and let's take a look at a still I got from that small segment:

You can just see the sloped roof of the CitiCorp Building off in the distance to the right... and given the road layout with one going off to the left and one going straight up, I believe these are Central Park South and Broadway, which makes me believe that they're actually in the Time Warner Center... something which I believe accounts for the following photographs:

There was just something so weird about the angles of the backdrops in those shots... at first I thought it may have been a sloped skylight of a tendy loft, but I think now they're in the part collapsed section of the Time Warner Center.

So, were they in it when the building was damaged, or did they go in after? The shot of the exterior is ambigious as it could be either.

I love doing stuff like this. Smile

Wasn't sure where best to put this, but i can see, without a doubt that the soldiers head is pixelated, not just blurred, but propaly pixelated. Ill try and screen cap it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

One possibility is that they used real members of the army. And
they pixelated their faces for security reasons...or something.

Another thing I noticed was that in the scene with what appears to be a jet, if you pause it you can tell its just performed an airstrike, or at least it looks so. You see black smoke and flames going towards the plane.

Some pics to support that there is no monster in that darkened hallway scene. First is the real pic, then the outline of the girl with her head down. Third is then an outline of who we assume is Rob with arm around for support with his right half fully shadowed from the light from the exterior room. Lastly an outline of the third person - who is actually in the hall and seems to be crouching into a run.

You know what? I'll buy that.

Thanks for making that diagram, I was about to but hadn't got the chance. You might want to circle the doorknobs for some people here too though, lol.

Question Is it just me or does it look like something is in the background during the carriage scene...I remember people discussing that is was strange in the previous versions of the trailer that it was too "calm" in that scene. To me it looks like something...possibly a head lifting itself up...I might be staring too hard though. Maybe the monster "went down". He gets better though?

It appears to be burning debris.

Additional notes: It appears that Rob is trying to find out where Beth is whilst talking on his phone down in the Subway station.

Part of the evacuation is trying to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, but fails when the bridge is destroyed by something.

I think you're right -- the building appears to actually be tilting WHILE they're in it in those two photos. I'm thinking it's collapsing as Rob and Lil and Hud try to drag Beth out (are her wounds caused by a bite, or by falling debris, or by the virus/disease? wondering).

I think her wound is caused by the rod sticking out of her chest in picture 1 Very Happy

The more I look at this photo the more it looks like the chest protrusion is a regular #2 Pencil:
Especially if you lighten the image...

I concur. Good job. I really think that kills the Mini-Monsters theory.

Just wanted to share this also...

IS that a paw/claw/hand at the bottom of the screen (outlined in white with red claws)?

"Hell no it aint"
While I can't verify who it is in that photo, there are 3 different people in that photo, in 95% the same locations as drawn above. Look at the shadows on the floor coming from the 3rd person you're saying isn't there. That person is well infront of the two leaning on each other & is already turned facing the light and headed towards it. the angle of the bottom of the legs is the heels of shoes lifting up; it appears they are in quite a hurry.

- - - - - - -

Another take on this photo I just saw would be that (in concurrence with the above thought that the building they are in with "chest wound girl" has been attacked and it leaning on the other building) that they are leaving the apartment(?) there and one person is in the lead and two people are carrying the 3rd (wounded girl-red outline above) between them by the arms around their necks. You can't see the person on the other side cause they're completely in the dark and the odd angle of the shot & heels off the floor of the person in front lends credit to towards the lilting building theory.
