[ivy set] #033 - Turnabout Couldn't see a post on this, so I thought I'd contribute again. Signed by Kurt
The text is in the white bottle tops and reads (as from left to right, top to bottom):
Quote:
The Click is one of the most well-known clubs in Perplex City, and it's where Roll for Damage famously played their first gig. I was there last week while Caine's band were doing a set, when I came up with this puzzle for Violet.
I bet her that she wouldn't be able to solve it before Caine finished his guitar solo. I lost. Then again, you could've played entire concerts in the time it took him to finish...
Can you make this arrow point in the opposite direction by only moving three bottletops?

Shouldn't this be, like, a black or something?
MINDBOGGLING!
No offense, naturally.

Argh! I saw this card, knew the answer right away, but every time I enter the card ID I get an error message. (And not your standard "this is an invalid ID" but a weird "Unexpected error!" thing) I've got as far as the picture screen once as well (possibly the first time) when it must have only errored on the answer input - which suggests that it's nothing to do with the ID.
There's a bit which says "If you weren't expecting to get this error message, email us." so I have... and the perplex help email has apparently been deactivated or something, because I got a bounce
What should I do now?

Bad sign - they're not maintaining the site?

Hmm. What does this mean for the next waves they promised? I think we should poke them. If people can still buy cards (there are boxes for sale in my local Borders) then they should still be able to solve them right?

I've just checked, and Firebox still lists the cards as available. I'd certainly hope that they will maintain the site whilst cards are still on sale. As for the ones still to come - who knows?
Go on, Mikey, poke them and see what happens. I'm not going to hold my breath for a reasonable answer from them though.

A whole host of PXC stuff seems to have disappeared in fact. All the trading sites have turned into advertisement sites.

I've e-mailed the info [at] mindcandy address and if that doesn't work I'll try more underhand and shamefaced routes . pineapplejelly (that sounds delicious!) perplexcitytrades went down a little while ago, I'm not sure about other trading sites. Some people still check the forum here for trades, but I don't think the frequency is very high. Perplexorum sadly closed its forum doors on Sunday too.

Further to the above received the following reply this morning:

Hi Mikey,
Thanks for the email regarding Perplex City - I can confirm that nothing
is being done with Perplex City at the moment and unfortunately no one
is maintaining the solve site.
I suggest you check back with us in the new year as we hope to have some
more information then.
Best wishes and happy puzzling,
Perplex City Customer Care.
I've just checked and I was still able to enter a solve for satellites of love (yellow 73) so it seems to be card specific problems. So - if a card solve seems broken we just have to wait until the new year.

Thats news to me :S I just logged onto Perplexorum and it works fine... unless I'm missing something :S
EDIT: Apparently I am, didn't pay enough attention at all.
