[Question][Spec]Military blurred face in trailer.

did my best to screen shot the scene, i noticed the blurred face as well when i watched the trailer. i thought it was due to bad quality

Agreed- it's done to lend credibility to the fact that the footage is recovered and "released" by the military.

Okay so I have a question. Why is this Soldiers face blurred? There are plenty of other soldiers faces you can see throughout the trailer. If the government is trying to keep the identities secret why is it not all of them? Something makes this guy special. Maybe he is a higher ranking officer?

Edit:(to add spec) also who says the goverment is for sure the bad guys here. I mean a giant f'ing monster is trashing NY city. They are as near as we can tell putting there lives on the line to fight it. Why does that make them bad?

There are a few possibilties:

One is that its the movie itself - To protect the identity of the actor.

The Government - He may be a key member, or may be a future victim to the monster/disease, and so they blur his face.

Here's why (the footage is released, that is) - it depicts two things. First: what is that light? Why is it hanging so low? It's stomach height. And second: have a gander at Rob in the full image of this frame, plus have a look at where the girl is standing:

Rob's face is one of shock, surprise, fear. He looking right over at the girl (Lily I think?) That light is showing him something. The ingredient in slusho probably contains eggs/larvae/babies of the larger creature and it's hatching inside of her.

At this point they know the creatures are INSIDE them probably. My guesstimation. Smile

any clarification if he's saying 'nothing we can do for YOU ' or 'HER now" ?
