A small puzzle offering (unrelated to Project Syzygy!)

To help pass the time until Project Syzygy kicks off, I had the capital idea of creating a little puzzle - totally unrelated to the game! - where three winners will each receive an invitation to Google's Gmail service. Weather or not everyone and their dog is already on Gmail is not something I know, but if you're not it's very useful, and if you are then you can pass it on to someone else. In any case the prize is not the main thing.

The puzzle will run over several days and you can submit your answers to me by PMing me here. If you are successful I will let you know. Note that each person only has a total of three guesses, so don't bombard me with all your outlandish ideas about Enigma machines and sound file analysis! Smile

Feel free to talk to each other about the puzzles but I would ask people not to reveal the solution to others if they have it. The puzzle will close when there are three winners, and I will announce each winner here.

If it's too easy I'll have to think of a harder one for next time Wink

Having thought about this for a bit, I should clarify the puzzle. There is no 'answer' to this puzzle, but there is definitely an explanation for what it all means. Things may become clearer tomorrow and on further days.

I don't think it is the actual solve, but rather a funny reply to a brainstumping puzzle. Spacely's solution is an infamous Nintendo game code for Konami games.

Of course, if I'm wrong, and he was being serious, I have just contributed more to the overall solve. Yay me!

Adrian did say not to share the answer, too. I may be a jerk, but I'm not that much of a jerk. Usually.

Interesting and utterly pointless fact:

More people on my freshman dorm floor were able to qute that code from memory then were able to say the pythagorean therom.

I think it might be worthwhile looking into this one some more. And not to completely hijack this thread, but does anyone remeber this one?

I've heard of TS Eliot, RS Andrews, and HR PufnStuf.
And even know about SD O'Connor.
The rest have me stumped.

Pah, lots of people have Gmail accounts now, and they're virtually free on eBay. Still, it looks an interesting puzzle.
