JC is giving us hints:

1. The colors are a ranking system

2. The BGBP pattern in column B seems to be filler; it's meaningless.

3. The only ones that matter are the ones that break the pattern

4. The color Blue is significant in the first column and filler in the second

Ok, put all the cities in to order where the colors of column 2 all match so reds with reds and so one. Then I bet column one will make more sense.

Welcome R10pez10, just wondering if you want to join the team (Order of the Black Knights) and if so could you PM me your alias, name, email, and qualifications. thnx.

Anyway, i sent my ideas out about the chart yesterday. It reads:
Quote:
Thanks JC,
this is making leaps and bounds with development with this list. As you may have noticed our team has been utterly stumped with the list, besides what you pointed out. I agree with just about everything you said. Here is what I think:

1. If we are color coding the colors in column B you get this:
Red: Los Angelas, CA, San Francisco, CA
Yellow: Miami, Florida, San Diego, CA

Blues and Greens are generic
My opinion is that they are ranking these by importance because they are trying to locate either you, Saul, or Saul's team.
Either that or that is where they are planning to ship the weapon

2. About the blue in Column A, you get these:
Boston, MA, Los Angelas, CA, Miami, Florida, Sacramento, CA, San Diego, CA, San Francesco, CA

Bold are the ones that do not break the patter in the second column
My guessing is that these are where they plan to ship these bombs to or the places they are planning to attack.

Those are my ideas, I hope the NCS noticed the leak and that it was public enough, I sent out the chain letter but not sure how many others did.
Good luck with Saul,
Darren Knight

oh and btw, cry0bot, how did the project go XD

Presentation went well; no one in my class was aware of the ARG genre, and I think I might have peaked some interest.

Here's my evaluation of the city list -
The BGBP pattern was taken out to enforce that it is just filler:

And here is a reorganized list. I chose red as the top-ranked color in the second column, while the blue in the first, as JC suggested, may be the most important:

EDIT: If the Chinese are involved, and the top targets really are Los Angeles and San Francisco, then won't they in effect be bombing their own embassy?

Nothing ground-shaking
Just something I noticed

I've attached a spreadsheet with a couple different configurations. Set 1 shows the original. Set 2 shows the list grouped by C2, in the order in which they appear. Set 3 shows the list grouped by C2 according to how the colors would progress in the spectrum of light. Moving from the lower frequencies (infrared) to the higher frequencies (ultraviolet). Set 4 shows the list grouped by C1 according to how the colors would progress in the spectrum of light. Within Set 4, I sorted each C1 color alphabetically. In other words, all the red cities are listed A – Z, then all the yellow cities are listed A – Z, etc.

I'm not saying this means anything, but I find it interesting that in Set 4 the top tier color has 3 public arenas listed at the top, the middle tier color has 2 public arenas listed at the top, and the bottom tier color has 1 public arena listed at the top.

I'm still banging my as to why there are two cities with blue backgrounds. Oh, and in case you're wondering, the numbers after Set 4 are the seating capacity for each of the public arenas.

Not to mention that there would be HUGE Chinese and other Asian casualties if they bombed San Fran.

Secondarily, San Fran plays a big part as a financial hub in the Asian world. Among Asian money players, SF is often times considered Hong Kong's little sister.
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2007-11/07/content_7023056.htm

So if China were to target SF, they would be creating a negative impact on themselves, their common popularity, and their economy.

However, it may not be China that is targeting the cities. We know we have at least two other players, Saudi and Pakistan...or at least people from those states.

The other scenario is that it could be a Chinese rogue purist who sees Chinese-American immigrants as defectors and sees China doing business with the U.S. as a devolution of character. Therefore, he or she may want to punish a large Asian demographic.

This does not explain all the other cities in the list however.
whew! My eyes are tired.

I already posted my two cents on this isssue. I believe that they are targeting either JC, Saul or Sauls Team. I think it is just a method of narrowing down where Saul and his crew are located. Ugh, cant wait for drop

Dropless
That's strange.

Well, less than one week 'till Red Monday, and we've got no Monday Drop for the first time. Downright unusual: JC's normally pretty consistent.

Here's hoping its just late this time around. With so little time left, seems like we need to make some headway soon.

Looking forward to see how this plays out.

 Code within a code
First two lines of binary deciphered - I'm off to bed

Cr0ybot wrote:
"xrl," the name of the map file, is ROT13 for "key." There appears to be writing at the bottom int he black... checking it out now.

EDIT:

It appears to be binary. some of it is hard to decipher... but it could work. I started typing out some, and the translation is gibberish. possibly a code within a code.

Decoded the first two lines of binary.

Quite simple just a bit time consuming and I'm off to bed.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Which American city would you like to take a vacatio

TROUT!!!

Anyway, I need suggestions on the couple of topics:
1. What should I say to Saul when/if I talk to him?
2. Should I contact JC and ask him what is up?

1. Tell him we need support with this, not any of this lame stuff he has been doing recently.
2. Yes, I think you should.
