Oh and Buster?
The script pages were returned, and they had big huge watermarks.
Why would you redact the script if you had such a scoop anyway?

Sorry Buster, that 'script' doesn't even match the dialog.

Can anyone hear what the soldier is shouting at 1:25 - 1:27? I can make out five syllables, but I don't know what he's saying.

Here's a few interesting sounds I found going through the audio.
There's a sound from outside the helicopter as it's spinning out of control. Could this be one of the sounds made by the monster(s)?
I grace you with the juicy sounds of a woman rupturing.
I decided to take one of the rewind sound samples and try to isolate it, and establish if it actually was a sped up and reversed sound or just an artificially generated effect. The backmask is what I found, and the best I could do. I can't determine what it is, thus no theory or suggestion that it's of any importance and no way to tell if it's incidental filler. That whole backmask is from :35-:36 in the trailer.

Multiple Sightings Of Case Designate "Cloverfield"
Camera Retrieved at Incident Site U.S. 447
Area Formerly Known As "Central Park"
Notice how it designates what country the incident site is in? This means that the phenomenon must be global.

Actually, when I listen to your sound file it sounds like he says "lie." Did you cut off the sound file early or something? There's definitely no "v" sound at the end of the word.

Yeah, I cut it off before the cacophony of the exploding glass really gets going. Fact remains, Buster's 'script' doesn't even come close to the dialog. The 'Christ' comment is someone else saying something in the background. In the full spectrum of noise, it sounds a little like they say that - but in the seperated tracks you can tell Hud says no such thing. Oh yeah, that brings me to another thing...
Scripts usually show everyone's lines from a scene, and have the character prompt before the line.

Oh okay, great. Thanks for clearing that up.

Ok, I'm a little confused. Who is crouching next to Rob in the market? I thought it was Hawk, but whoever is speaking to Rob is off further to the right judging by his eye movements. Most people seem to agree that the speaker is Hawk.
Am I confusing peoples names or what?

Actually, he says something, but can't be sure what he says. I don't think he gets to finish the sentence, so we'll never know. I went over it; he says "it's a-" ***CRASH!***
People will hear what the voices in their heads tell them to hear.
It depends on what audio channel you listen to. If you listen to the just the center channel, you can definitely hear what he is saying.
You can download just the center channel here: http://www.archive.org/download/CloverfieldTrailer2Audio/trailer2_C.mp3
All the other audio channels are available here: http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/2007/11/cloverfield-trailer-2-audio-analysis.html

he says "it's alive." i know this because you can go to the french trailer, which is just the american trailer with french subtitles. so unless the person writing the subtitles didn't understand what he/she was to write, we can put this debate to rest. it makes no sense, but he definitely says, "it's alive."

The transcript supports my idea for the 1-18-08 drinking game...
everytime someone says "rob" "run" or "oh my God"
take a drink.
Not that I encourage drinking.

The line "Area Formerly Known As "Central Park"" at the beginning of the trailer makes it sound as if Central Park no longer exists otherwise it would still be known as Central Park. Central Park is 843 acre rectangle 2.5 miles by 0.5 mile ,i.e. big. I don't think that a creater would be able to level an area of this size by collateral damage alone. My first (random) spec is that Central Park becomes a sort of "nesting" ground for Cloverzila/s or the army sent some sort of missile strike on the site. that's my 2 pennies worth.

I am so IN. I bring a pint of bourbon to any movie I see anyway. And for this one I am also bringing Creme Brulee for the Giant squid with weaponized ink, and one for rose.

I don't think people who write subtitles get a copy of the script, they just type what they hear. Plus, they probably have to listen to the stereo mix, and don't have the luxury of having all the individual audio tracks separated for them.
However, I agree that the line is "It's alive".
