To me it seems quite obvious what is happening.
The man on the right, girls left is reaching back and simply gives her hell of a left cross to the face. The girl then turns about, her hair spins with the punch, her UNZIPPED JACKET flies to her left and right. Quite simply the man on the left, her right looks back like, 'nice, this is much easier now.'
There is nothing to see here but a little civil disobedience and one man knocking her the hell out.

Right.
The guy on the left is walking away until the guy on the right grabs him.
The guy on the right grabs the guy on the left because the woman is pulling him down, probably because she's got her hand on his neck.
Girl is in serious amounts of pain, one of her arms (the left one from the angle we're looking from) is bent, which is why it looks like a nub on her left side.
If you remember those pics of the people in the blue hazmat suits I think this is the last part of that scene where Lena explodes. We can see that Lena is grabbing one of the guys in the hazmat suits by the neck.
Look:
Hell, this picture may actually have happened AFTER the explosion, we can't see her front so we don't know what shape she's in and it looks to me like the guy in the right of THIS picture is trying to pull Lena off the guy on the left.

Upper, not lower body? Chest vs. Stomach If this were something that you injest, like deep sea nectar, it would go to your stomach and you'd blow from there. In fact, explosions travel in the path of least resistence, which in this case would be below the ribcage, not through the collarbone and ribs.
It would appear that the bursting is occuring just under her shoulders, you can see that her arms remain 'unharmed' from the expansion. And the Hazmat man's arm's coincidental contact with her would appear that he's in some way involved in this.
Perhaps there's an infection in her lungs . Her lungs are up high in the chest cavity and 'could' burst its way out of a ribcage, although I would still think that insides would be shoved either up out her mouth, or down around the lower ribs - not right through.
Could he be plugging something into her, and filling a suit with air? Perhaps they're spraying her with something to disinfect her? My only problem is that the arm that connects with her is almost a fraction of a second too late to be causing the expansion, ... right?
She expands awfully quick, so the foreground guy who's mostly indifferent to what's going on probably wouldn't notice what was going on until he hears the 'pop.'
Perhaps someone pulls the string on an inflation device? It's just too odd that her upperbody would blow like that, when you would expect it all to occur in her stomach area.
Too, the expansion is symetrical and uniform - undoubtedly something would rupture earlier than something else in a blow like this, and it certainly would not come out in perfect balance. This really appears to be something, like a jacket or plastic wrapping, that's being filled with a gas, or perhaps a liquid. (but probably a gas).

I dont know but i know that this scene facinates me even more so than the brief glimps of the creature. This is like a great mystery. And very few clues.
The more is see this it does look like the guy on the right is reaching past her and grabing the guy on the left. The guy on the left looks like he is turning to leave or something.
On a side note, the oblivious guy in front of the plastic is working on a patient, not a computer. Someone earlier thought he was at a computer. There are also several large yellow containers in the foreground. I wonder what those are filled with. They are large and look like they could be used for medical waste or something. I dont know. This is a great scene though. I am loving this.

How about this theory...
Maybe Slusho! isn't something that is bad... maybe Slusho! is an antidote for the "explosive decompression" that happens to Marlena...
In the stills and trailer, both Lily and Lena have scratch marks/wounds (see still pics of marlena bleeding from eyes etc and the shot of Lily and Rob holding the door closed)...
But we see Lena popping and we see Lily being taken of in a separate helicopter... maybe the Slusho! that Lily was drinking (she got it from her boyfriend Hawk) stopped her from exploding and that's why they are taking her off in a differnet helicopter - studied as to why the Slusho! helped her not explode...

It says right on the Slusho site that people turned into whales.

Yeah, that's just a story though.

Yeah, that's just a story though.
Just a story on a site which cryptically reveals the mythology behind the movie.
I was expecting this stuff when I read it the first time.

We don't actually know that Slusho! reveals anything about the movie though.

If we don't know Slusho! has anything to do with the movie then it really can't be included with theories. If we do include it, we have to take it for what it says.

Well, sure we don't "know" but it would make the site and the placement of Slusho products in the movie totally pointless. And usually, stuff has a point.

What I'm saying is that we don't know if the story on the Slusho! site has anything to do with what happens in the film beyond them both having sea-based creatures in them.
Can't say definitively that the Slusho! site reveals the mythology behind the movie.

Did Slusho! have a point when it was in Alias?
How about in Heroes?

Apples and oranges. That was before any of the viral sites went up. They've gone out of their way to detail the history of Slusho and the suspect dealings of the corporation that owns it. And I don't think they did it just to throw money away.

That's fine, I personally don't think that the story is the actual history of these people. I think it's a story, maybe it's based on 'truths', but do you honestly believe people actually turned into whales and nobody noticed?
It could all be a fairy-story made up by the Tagruato company to make their product seem more magical. It could be anything.
Small fish turning into a big whale to me means either they got fat or they grew more confident.
The sea bed nectar is supposed to make people 'feel' stronger and more confident.
