Yes I have read the story. That's why I know that line is from a dream Ganu had. So the story never claims he turned into a whale. Although I think it's possible, seeing as how he is Very Big, but that's just the sort of thing his evil corporation could hide anyway.

In either case, you take the sidestories as story-related, or you don't take them. It can't be both ways. From what you can see from the Tagruato website, Chuai Station is on the Mid-Atlantic ridge, at the same longitude as New York, and began development in September of 2007. Since the story happens around our time now, it's not a stretch to say that Tagruato and possibly Slusho! are related. Perhaps not in a huge way, but perhaps at least some part of the plot.

At first I was against the idea of the Hazmat R doing anything at all, but looking at it over and over again, it looks like his right arm is reaching back. Doesn't look like anything is in his hand so no knife or anything. I don't want to say he's punching the girl in the center, because of how his body is positioned though. For him to be able to punch with any force at all, he'd have to torque his body to get any force out of it. So I think perhaps he either lost grip or was holding with only one hand.

We're you trying to show the IV pole? Or the thing the guy looks like hes holding on the right in the last frame. I've been wondering about what that could be or if it was also something behind them or my eyes playing tricks.

in the very last frame, before the black comes on (if you are watching frame by frame on the HD version), her left hand is suddenly flat. if you go frame-by-frame, you can see left hazmat is holding her by the arm, can see her hand a few times, then suddenly it's flat, like a spike or flipper or it just got flat.

You can see her arms. She's not magically missing arms from when they pulled her in to the tent. The hazmat are holding her by her upper arms, so you're not going to see much of her arms.
