Sorry if it belongs to anothe board,

I mean, if "Central Park" is 'U.S. 447',
so there are another sites in another countries like 'U.K. 200' etc.
I would agree. I don't believe in this film we would get anything more than our '447' but depending on how well the film does maybe cloverfield 2 would be another site from another point of view.
Oh, it would be cool, like "Rashomon" by Kurosawa: various perspectives and opinions about the incidents.

my question is what happens to the park. FORMERLY KNOWN AS Central Park. Did they end up using a nuke? I doubt the monster could destroy an area so bad that they would call something else. its just dirt and trees and rocks. but nukes might not allow the electronics to survive depending on its location in relation to the blast and its yield.
I guess it should belong in its own section but what the monster IS would determine how it needs to be kill/contained. What is the end result of the attack?

Welcome to Unfiction. Both of these things are (were) being discussed in other threads.
Hiya clownnation - thanks for catching that, if you also add a link to one of the threads you mention then discussion can continue there. And clover1111 - hello! Come and say hi

Grate minds think alike and so do ours! I mentioned this in another thread. I also suggested that the Central park area might have become a "nesting site" for Cloverzila/s as its the nearest thing to a natural habitat (e.g. soil, trees)in NYC and that the Nesting could be quite destructive.

I seriously hope the film doesn't go down the 'nest and lay eggs' route.
I just want the monster to come out and kick ass. Maybe because its annoyed about the drilling near its watery abode, or maybe just because it woke up in a bad mood.

i agree the fact that Godzilla lay eggs and had offspring gave the monster a harmless quality because at the end of it, it was just looking for a breading ground for its offspring and was just neutralisng a threat from us humans.
This monster has to solely come to surface because its ticked off after being distrbed by us drilling and now wants revenge. Seems the logical route.
the mini monsters will be parasites that have lived off the monster and upon sensing food they go on a killing spree.

When I say "nesting ground" I don't necessarily mean a nest for its young, it could just be where it retires after a long night of smashing stuff up. If it can dig (it might you know or might not?!?) it would prefer digging into the parks soil than the concrete of the city.
PS Cloverzila was all my own work. Though I bet other people have thought of it too.

your right bakers dozen. it seems to be the only green area within miles in NY, the perfect place to nest. hmm

Hmm, dunno about that. Why would rock and grass and dirt be a great place for something that wants the pressure and water of the deep ocean as its home? I don't think it's a favorable place for such a critter to be nesting.
I don't know about a nuke (how would a camera found at ground zero survive?), but perhaps some super weapon, fire or otherwise (whatever they discover the monster is susceptible to) destroys it fairly well.

Though it looks like it comes from the sea, it seams to be able to spend prolonged time out of it. I was just thinking that most animals are drawn to vegetation rather that barren environments. But saying all this we really don't know hardly anything about "It".
