[SPEC] Looks like A Minotour? Im not sure if this has been posted, I have had a look but to no avail, if this has already been mentioned feel free to leave this alone until it dies or delete it.
There has been talk of the house of leaves etc etc, where the monster in that being a minotour.
The following video is of the monster in trailer 2.
My question is this, does anyone else think that what we see of the monster looks like the back legs of a Minotour?

EDIT: Didnt that person who was an "extra" say that another extra shouted out "is that a minotour?", before the 2nd trailer came out

I do see what you're talking about regarding the legs.
I never really discounted Denise's story more than any other. She said that she was not in fact followed by a video camera in her scene and probably took it as a sign that the film would not be shot entirely with a Hi 8. (Note: She wasn't too knowledgeable of camera specifics) Look at the scene with Rob and Beth under the tunnel that was posted on youtube. Rob isn't holding a Hi-8. Yet in the promotional photo of that same scene, Rob's holding one. Easy to get confused?
I don't know that it's Minotaur, though the House of Leaves similarities are piling up. The latest clue in this supposed ARG we've gotten is a fake article from a fake magazine about a fake documentary. That wreaks of HoL, which was the story of a documentary that never existed, written in book form as though it were non-fiction by Zampano, citing fictitious articles right and left. If it isn't Minotaur, then I applaud Abrams for taking a cue from one of the best books in recent years.

I personally think that it is going to be shot in both traditional film and handheld views, which would work well because you would get different perspectives of the film.
I also think JJ didnt know what the monster was going to look like until we all started speculating, then he has used all of our input and combined them all to make HIS monster

When JJ said he was going to use something unique and of his own creation, why in the world would he use a creature out of Crete and Greek mythology... that now is huge size and comes from the sea? O.o
Also, the actual minotaur was based in fact, there was never an actual minotaur, but there was a golden bulls head and a maze in Crete.
Anyways, at best, it might have two huge horns. It is NOT the actual minotaur from myth.

I didnt say he would use a creature from Greek Mythology, I said that he couldve used all our ideas as inspiration.
Also, I have never read HOL, so I dont know anything about it, apart from it supposably has a minotour in it, and I was just saying that I thought the Monster looked similar to a minotour from what the clip shows

He was replying to your first post... about the minotaur.
I don't really think it looks much like a minotaur at all... minotaurs have furry legs and hooves, do they not?

Well, actually, a minotaur leg would looks like a normal person leg, since the original minotaur was 'a man with a bull's head' no more.
But Come on, people have seen shells on that same image, and huge faces, and isopods and water bears and godzilla and some gorilla thing from some other movie. Enought. It's like one of those ink blots shinks use. It's blurry, it has tons of smoke and rubble, it's a fragment that moves quickly. We are not going to find anything about the monster's shape from those 0,5 seconds.

It could at first glance look minotaur-like.
Like, maybe it has horns or tentacles that look horn-like but is bipedal with sort of Satyr-like legs.
I still think it'll have the maw of a blue whale, but that doesn't stop it having horn/tentacles.

I'm more leaning towards the 'ape'iness type of shape.
It looks like short hindlegs and a massive upper body. Where enourmous arms can knuckle-drag the ground.
I also thought the 'it's actually walking backwards to look down the street' angle was pretty cool.
That theory did explain a lot of the weird leg motions from the animal's left leg.
except, it looks like the back legs may have two knees. And it's a slimy looking monster.
But I'm sure it's an amalgamation of a bunch of inspirations.
