Will this week never end? Yet another nasty surprise. They have recovered Marty's body. I took a casserole over to George and Wanda's. They are in terrible shape. First the week of wondering where he was, and then the horror of what has happened to him. They had to go to the Del Norte Medical Examiner's office in Oregon to identify him. They said the body was too badly damaged, they had to do it from a photo, and the personal effects. They knew it was him when they saw the medical alert tags. Marty has... had seizures. If he didn't get enough Vitamin B6, he would have them. They said that some of the local small sharks got to him before he was found.

I feel so bad for them right now! It is just terrible!

Marcus is right to stay away. What could he do to change any of this? Nothing, nothing.

Marcus, if you are out there somewhere... Josh and Raistlin are being looked after, don't worry about them, we will take care of them until you can come home safely.

And I'm sorry, very sorry for everything that you are going through this week. I'm sorry I can't tell you that in person.

Now I'm wondering again if Marty is dead. If the body was mutilated and they had to id him from his effects, it's not impossible that someone (or Marty himself) put them on another person.

who is Raistlin? Isn't Josh the dog?

And I have no doubt that Marty is dead. Just very gruesome.

Josh is Marcus' dog. Raistlin was Marty's.

And why didn't they use dental records? If they couldn't look at him (even without sharks that much time in the water should've made him hard to id), they shouldn't have just taken effects as ID. It seems odd.

I'm with you Yli, I'm not convinced that Marty is dead. Id'ing someone from personal effects is possible, but if foul play is suspected I can't imagine them not using dental charts too sure. Since I live in the area I find it hard to believe that a body went from Portland to the ocean, I don't think I've ever heard of that before. The Columbia River bar is one of the hardest bars in the world to cross for a ship, I would think for a body it would be harder. Rolling Eyes

The world is a much dimmer place.
