At this point we're dead on clues. I hope the hackers move the game along. I mean, come on, they leave us a picture with a bunch of clues that lead to, what, the title of the web page that is clearly visible anyway?

Hopefully Tagruato will fix their site, offering some shitty excuse as to why the hacking happened.

Pacience is a virtue most needed in ARGing. Sure, we got the pic half solved already, but there's a ton of people that haven't even seen the picture.

Things moved a lot. We now know there's someone after Tagruato, accusing them of being the eeeevil one. A story is forming, pieces are being moved.

We have a word, we're trying to do something with it. It may not do anything yet, so all we can do is keep trying websites (BTW, is not part of Jamie and Teddy site, tried folder, .html, .htm and .jpg), looking for the word on the sites we already have and wait.

Wait with hope, since this ARG seems to have started at last.

I've been searching for a connection for these fish online for hours and came up dry...it is very unusual to find any website with all of those fish mentioned together. I would call this a clear connection. Good work!

I just viewed source and noticed some interesting things.
The Google tracker is gone. Is that for plausibility or a sign of a real 'hoaxer' hack (a real hack trying to look like an IG hack)?
The W3C doctype declaration is still there, which is something you might not expect from a real hack.
Seemingly contradictory evidence. I don't have any idea what the original source looked like right now, but I wonder if the doctype declaration has substantially changed.

anybody think this could be a possible description of the monster? nobody replied to my other post.

Well, the crab thing seems a little far fetched. If those animals are really the inspiration for our monster, then it could simply be refering to its legs or its shell.

But I doubt they are. There's no hard proof about it, but I still think the monster will somehow be related to whales, so one would have been there.

I've moved all the original Tagruato site screenshots to
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22222

If you need it for references, I also included the new changes they added about the RRC, just before the site was hacked.

Just because we haven't found them doesn't mean they're not there.

Maybe the hackers are saying Tagruato had something to do with the earthquake that caused the Tsunami.

Here's the wiki article on that Tsunami.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Indian_Ocean_earthquake

Is the epicenter near any Tagruato rigs?

Looks to be north of the Itoku station. Relatively far away, but ya never know!

Here is a section from the Wiki article about the Environmental impact of the tsunami :

Quote:
Environmental impact

Tsunami inundation, Khao Lak, North of Phuket, Thailand ASTER Images and SRTM Elevation Model.

Beyond the heavy toll on human lives, the Indian Ocean earthquake has caused an enormous environmental impact that will affect the region for many years to come. It has been reported that severe damage has been inflicted on ecosystems such as mangroves, coral reefs, forests, coastal wetlands, vegetation, sand dunes and rock formations, animal and plant biodiversity and groundwater. In addition, the spread of solid and liquid waste and industrial chemicals, water pollution and the destruction of sewage collectors and treatment plants threaten the environment even further, in untold ways. The environmental impact will take a long time and significant resources to assess.[57]

According to specialists, the main effect is being caused by poisoning of the freshwater supplies and the soil by saltwater infiltration and deposit of a salt layer over arable land. It has been reported that in the Maldives, 16 to 17 coral reef atolls that were overcome by sea waves are totally without fresh water and could be rendered uninhabitable for decades. Uncountable wells that served communities were invaded by sea, sand and earth; and aquifers were invaded through porous rock. Salted-over soil becomes sterile, and it is difficult and costly to restore for agriculture. It also causes the death of plants and important soil micro-organisms. Thousands of rice, mango and banana plantations in Sri Lanka were destroyed almost entirely and will take years to recover. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is working with governments of the region in order to determine the severity of the ecological impact and how to address it.[58] UNEP has decided to earmark a US$1,000,000 emergency fund and to establish a Task Force to respond to requests for technical assistance from countries affected by the tsunami.[59] In response to a request from the Maldivian Government, the Australian Government sent ecological experts to help restore marine environments and coral reefs — the lifeblood of Maldivian tourism. Much of the ecological expertise has been rendered from work with the Great Barrier Reef, in Australia's northeastern waters.

.... too, speaking of deep sea life and trenches, it seems the result of this earthquake which was 1,500 times more powerful than the nuclear bomb dropped on Horoshima was an exposed trench.

Quote:
The momentum of the water displaced by tectonic uplift had also dragged massive slabs of rock, each weighing millions of tons, as far as 10 km (7 mi) across the seabed. An oceanic trench several kilometres wide was exposed in the earthquake zone.

If they were to tie this in game... could be saying they used Bold Futura's amazing underwater technology to break down the barrier that was blocking the trench, and thus they could get at the mineral resources down there... but obviously at great cost to human and marine life.

Seriously. Read up on the power of what caused that Tsunami... totally hard core stuff man.
