In my mind if I remove all of the sea creatures and the wave, I vaguely get the Cloverfield poster in an abstract kind of way.

Yes, Ganu does not have his left arm raised in the air
Yes, Ganu does not have his right arm folded in front of him
Yes, Ganu does not have his head raised looking toward the skyline

But, given the dark colors, the ravaged city skyline and the large figure facing away from us in the foreground...

Look at the area just beneath our floating jelly fish. To me, it looks like the wake from SoL to the city in the poster.

BTW, what does anyone make of the circle beneath the crab at the bottom of targuato.jp?

Lastly, I don't think that dark green mass next to the octopus is a monster. I think it's a sea plant of some kind (seaweed?).

On second glance, perhaps Ganu is looking out from inside Lady Liberty's crown? Maybe that vertical black line is not a drill after all but a window frame in the SoL's crown?

 		looks to me, in the second picture, ganu is layered on top of another picture of a man look at the top left corner of the man and it looks like someone else behind him. why?

 		great work guys i've missed so much in this one day of absense.

as for the foot print debate with the octopus the only thing i can really say is that its most likley ink. im not too familiar with the dumbo octopus or if they even discharge ink, but my first initial response was just that. oh its inking.
haha. i know i dont have too much to say that hasn't already been said, or any more to contribute too. i'll see what i can dig up.


but i found this sweet documentary by the bbc on deep sea animals.

i cant find part 3. but theres some crazy animals.

The 'ghost' is just an artifact of editing, if you look closely. I already pointed out my case for this earlier in this thread.
I don't think that apparent 'cityscape' is NYC or that this is meant to strongly resemble the poster. That would involve the hackers having some grand vision of the future, which seems a bit out of the scope of this film's style. Things here seem to be more based on biology in exaggerated but realistic ways, not hackers with a mystical power to somehow manipulate the human relationship with time in order to know future events.

Am I seeing it wrong, or it's not the same wave? The same style and a similar shape, but the spikes don't match at all. I think is simply that japanese traditional paintings all had similar waves.

Um... not to be offensive... but... are you guys SERIOUS? you don't know what the circle is? Look closely at it. It's the Tagruato logo upside down. It is facing Ganu so that if he turned around toward the table he'd see it normally.

OMGsh!!!! Is everyone here, like, on crack or something?

I wrote "not a floor" and "table's edge" because several people have called the area behind Ganu a floor, thinking that the right edge of his shadow on the table was actually the edge of the table. I was simply clarifying. For so many of you to be so mean and nasty, you must seriously have jack-asses for parents. Learn some decency and manners and BASIC courtesy.
