Thats a point i was also making, that its not because of government purposes, throughout the trailer there are many military personnel whos faces are shown, yes this one is pixelated ;]

They wouldnt have to blur out everyones faces tho, only those who were being given or already had classified status. Like on tv, when an undercover bust goes down. They dont block all of the cops faces, just the UCs

Exactly. I think he is pixilated because he is forced to do something (such as kill one of the infected), which if the public found out would compromise his safety and or cause everybody who knows him to despise him.

Was thinking that exact same thing when i wrote that, maybe the military was protecting him from reprisals since its shown that he forces them to stand by and watch their friend die ( that is , if its eventually proven that is Marlena blowing up, which im pretty sure it is)

 		It's obviously not pixelated because he is a famous actor...anyone who thinks that is a moron. If JJ wanted to conceal this identity, he would've just put the audio in on this scene.
I'm guessing his either implies that this is being shown on a news source post-attack and the soldier dies/is MIA and therefore cannot sign a release to show his face on television or he did not agree to.

 		okay I think this whole movie is an archived footage on an event that happened on 1-18-08, so teh blurred faces are either survivors who don't want their faces shown or familys of the dead who are pixelated out fo respect

I know for a fact that u can do this. Just saw a report on the news a few weeks back, bout the FBI unswirling the face of a pedophile in his sick fuck pics he had taken with kids. He had swirled the face to block his image and they "somehow" were able to unswirl it, so im sure it would work for pixels the same way. Now granted, i dont know if this technology is available to the general public, at least thats the way the news report made it sound, that it was some secret way they had discovered


by the way... it was the german bka that "unswirled" the pics of this crappy axxhxlx pedophile

said on the official hearings by the chief of europol, while they where
"presenting" the pedophile to the public on court

the only thing what the german bka did, was using photoshop "backwards"

there was NO special uber-expensive software involved

simple as that

 		That's not Dennis Haysbert. One, you've taken that pic from the rather good show The Unit, and two, it doesn't sound like him. It does, however, sound a little like Greg Grunberg with a put-on gravel in his voice. Still, they haven't blurred his face coz he's famous.
