I want to say it really can't be related. Possible that the person is quasi-gamejacking by using similar names?

how bout the reference in Brody's blog to his cousin, where he mentions the company his company works for his ruining the planet? I think that was about a week ago. And now we have tagruato hacked by apparent environmentalist...

In that context I think Arkham is the Asylum/Prision where bad guys are locked up in Gotham City (Or my nick spelled the right way). So that's another batman reference.

It seems to point to 1-18-08 more than anything right now, at least that's what I'm seeing.

The 48hours.net thing has been pressed before, it's some other game trying to hijack interest off of this. It's happened over and over, do some searching, you'll see what I mean.
There is hardly a better definition for 'gamejack' than this.
It's basically just a bait and switch.

Hardly.

So why is it you have only posted in this thread?
We've seen something like this before. A user that only cared about the one site and even made an ID to match it (4t8) which it turns out was a 'smurf' or 'sock puppet' account. I've also noticed that others also seem quite bent on promoting this site as connected to this, if not more ARGs/CFs.
And so we are basically spammed with the same basic topic repeatedly. At least one of the 'players' here has used the troll tactic "I'm leaving forever".

Gamejack.
Period.

It's wishful thinking. 48 Hours is a very special thing.

Other than a few unfortunate and unexpected connections, they story-lines are worlds apart.

You guys have a giant city smashing squid (incidentally you ought to slow down the spinning chopper scene in the trailer) and this has a mentally destroyed film-maker f__king with people's minds.

Also, this is two films longs, both in production and under-wraps.

It would be asinine to link them and I think the the connections can be safely chalked up to bad luck (on our part) and recreational drugs (on the players' parts).

Mark this thread OOG already and stop being prickish. I'm not here to do anything but end the rumors.

I have that scene frame by frame. Nothing there. I know you're just responding to some rocks trown you way, but really is not nice to drop hints as if they were the most obvious thing in the world, specially when they're just speculations like everyone's else.

Please stop
please

Guys I read somewhere about forums specifically for this thing...84-minutes.net or something...it was only a few posts back.

Can't you just take it all there. It's got hee-haw to do with this ARG and wore out not long after it started.

I appreciate that you'd like a big game, but this ain't the way to go around it.

Cheers!

No, no, I wasn't trying to drop a hint, I don't know how to do that, and hadn't seen it here.

As for this other guy... wore out? haha, ok.
