The answers to this puzzle should be posted on your organization's boards at ImmersionUnlimited to A) Protect your "advantage" if you figure it out and B) to prevent OE from knowing if you do.

That's why IU was made, to protect incidences from people from different orgs. finding information that only pertains to your org., solutions, etc. that you want to keep secret.

You really can't stop people from discussing things, no matter how hard you try. So why bother?

It seems that any of the puzzles in which I have watched or participated, have shown up here in UF after they have been solved over in IU. This way lurkers and members of the other group(s) can see results and follow the storyline.

I hope the OE group does the same (post their puzzles after-the-fact) for the completion of the wiki needs to have all sides of the story.

I agree with Kona on this.....it will be good to see how individual puzzles influence the "Big Picture."

And to Space Bass, I was just trying to help them out and if someone did post the solution, and an OE person read it, it would ruin the point of solving it (and I know everyone already knows it because it has been argued on constantly).

Well, personally I think a lot of players still have to get used to the idea of split groups of playing, and it doesn't hurt to bring stuff like this up every once in a while, the same way Yliandra pointed out that we shouldn't post META-stuff on IU the way we did... controversy or not Wink

I think there's nothing wrong with posting AWARE puzzle solutions on uF, as long as players keep in mind what effects on gameplay this might have and that sometimes it would be adding to the gaming experience (for all concerned groups) if they do it a little different from what they might be used to with previous games...
I.e., post the solution to a puzzle a little later than you would usual, or, as Kona pointed out, wait until the solving process is over, keeping a little of the "surprise factor" alive Very Happy

I have no firm solution for the lurker/rubbernecker problem though, and that bothers me too, but, on the other hand, I play AWARE more or less as a lurker so far and I can't say I'm having issues following the plot etc...

Hmm is this a link you were given specifically? If not, I'm not sure if this is accurate... http://www.omniscienteyes.com/sequoia/tien_le.gif also requires a password... that's just because the sequoia base dir is password protected.

http://www.omniscienteyes.com/sequoia/assignment.gif
is the link we have been given in BIG BLACK text on then OE website in the codes section.

The password access is on the sequoia directory, as they are using an Apache server and it's eaiser that way. IF there are any other documents in the directory they will fall under the same password.
