 		What if there are small, medium and then a GIGANTO monster?
Like, maybe that monster is one of the medium monsters, and Giganto hasn't come to the city yet. I'm just sayin the monster could be a little bigger. Who said JJ was only making one monster? There isn't just one loner animal in the ocean, is there? no, there's a whole clusterfuck of a fishies and crab things down there, maybe they weren't as close to the cloverfields, so that's why they're smaller. Idk, I'm not JJ or a monster expert. Maybe our monster comes in after mr.No Taint in that screenshot from the trailer.

I must say, awesome job on the vid man. Other things i would like to say is that i agree with the person that said its moving backwards, i keep watching it and i have to strongly agree with that. Other things is when they are in the dark hallway and they here a "smaller monster" it sounds kinda like a crab scurrying across the floor. This movie is going to be awesome.

OT - Watched the mist last night and i just loved the ending. One of the best endings to a movie I've seen in a long time. The design of the spiders was wicked awesome. The design of the creatures i give an overall A+, although some of the CGI was kinda lame when the mist was coming into the town.

Edit - Do you mind if i put this vid on my myspace page, crediting you of course.

Here's my take on the monster, with 2 other variations.



I don't know what the head looks like, so I based it off the fish faced thing picured here:

Does anyone know if this was debunked? It seems to be from before the plot was revealed.

One strange feature of the monster is a dark semicircular hook shape on it's back, I haven't seen many people mention this but it's definitely there in the last few frames. I've extended this into a tentacle, as I can't see much use for a hook there.

Great work on your other enhanced footage too, I've been trying to work out what's in the background, it certainly looks like the actors can see something, and react to it even before the liberty head is visible.

I mentioned theis in another thread. It was something like "It has a Fin Shocked ." It is hard to make out in the small clip though.

Nice work btw on the drawings. It looks a lot like the cut and paste I did from the trailer frames. I only cut and pasted what was clearly visible and the rest is up for speculation.

So after looking at all the conversation about it, it seems like the words "THE TEXT" that show up beneath the image of the monster are in fact coincidental.

I've just got to say, though, given JJ Abrams' penchant for writerly scripts, what a huge, weird, coincidence. If Abrams were to catch wind of "the text" being accidentally written beneath our first view of the monster, I'm sure he'd appreciate the weirdness.

It's actually THE TEXTILE something. It's just in front of the 401 building that the liberty head crashes into Shocked

I don't know what to think about the monster scene. I see it both ways, which is making me nuts. I'll just resolve myself to give a good hard look at that scene when it finally comes out.

 		Is there part of the monster visible in the smoke? Look at the outlines I've marked out, they just seem to move like solid objects, smoke should leave a trail...
