That's where the cast still lists Odet Jasmin, who not only doesn't even seem to exist (at least as any actor known to the world) but the trailer clearly shows in it's cast crediting that it's Odette Yustman.
With them holding on to such totally inaccurate information (based on an article with the incorrect citation) you can hardly give them ANY credibility.

OK - I emailed Eddy last night to offer help maintaining the Tagruato blog. It's staying his show; I don't intend nor do I have the skills to mess around with the layouts or the graphics, I suggest continuing to contact him directly with any of that.

I AM stepping up and have enough blog authority to keep out of character crap pruned out of comments, and to help pull together article content and ideas. I'm online pretty frequently - you can PM me here, through the contact information or comments at my own personal blog (I have it linked by WWW on my profile) or email theplotterSPLATsbcglobal.net, and I'll be watching this and any other Effect threads for anything to pop up.

Incidentally, I've already gotten rid of the 'big monster slusho' comment, and another that went way OOC to reference the movie.

Someone did realize 4 hours ago that the blog was created by us. Took 'em long enough, though, considering the Forum link sitting there in the open.

I'd like to try something. I'd like to pretend to be the Editor of this outfit, and give you (the writers/staff) a to-do list. The idea is to organize this organization. It may not work so feel no obligation, and by all means continue to create according to your own initiative/inspiration. So here's what I have in mind.

I'm going to recreate Tagruato's drop down menus:



Now it won't be exactly the same, and it won't have the cool sound effects, but the allusion will be to continue to mirror Tagruato's layout, and thus the association. Still with me? Okay, so I need content for those menus. The menus are:

"HEADLINES" "ABOUT US" "DEEP SEA DRILLING" "SUBSIDIARIES" "CONTACT US"

So, your assignments should choose to accept them:

1. Headlines

a. These will be the three posts we have up and all future posts which talk about "the latest" news/rumors. Currently, we need a report on the ParafFun Recall.

2. About Us

a. We need a post that spells out explicitly, while still in character, who we are and what we're doing. Something like, "Title: The Effect is our response to 'the Cause' alluded to in (insert links to jamieandteddy videos) and the suspected group behind the recent hacking Tagruato's website. Our goal is to investigate Tagruato and report on the Cause and ultimately expose (and/or become a part of) the story as it unfolds..."

4. Subsidiaries

a. For this submenu, I'm thinking we could refer to Unfiction as a subsidiary, and from there various Cloverfield blogs. But first, we need a write up for Unfiction. In this case, staying in character should probably go by the wayside. So on a paragraph or two, what this forum is about.

So that's a bit sketchy, but hopefully it's enough to give us a direction, a common goal/shared vision that we can all work toward. Gotta go to work now. Later.

I've signed up to become a blog author also, though, as Kaliyuga pointed out, I will likewise not be screwing around with the graphics or anything - that's Eddy's show - but just occasionally posting a blog or two and editing out any OOG comments.

Also, I will write that ParafFun recall blog, just I think it would be awesome to have the protest picture, which I think was TwelfthMonkey's idea. I like it, and it would be awesome to get a picture to accompany the article. Can anyone do that?

I told someone about this site (The effect site) and it got them interested into cloverfield (apparently the trailer wasnt enough), the concept of an evil corporation really got them.

So, good on the effect!
