 [SPEC]Secret Ingrediant = Monster's Blood?

After searching the daily reads regarding cloverfield updates i came across this theory and after searching this forum, I decided to bring it upon all you unfictioners to dwell on. Its a good theory. Its something that i've been thinking off too but never posted. d'oh! The theory belongs to a fella called Q30

"In the begining, they're at a party. A farewell party for Rob who's leaving "for Japan."

What if he got a job working at Tagurato? I'm willling to bet that at the party, there's talk of the great new product called Slusho and no one knows what gives it its great taste. already been discussed

The monster attacks, it's a deep sea creature from below the earth's crust which has been tapped by Tagurato in secret. Now, there are thousands of tiny parasites riding its body like scales. They suck the monsters' blood. They fall-off during the attack and become monsters in their own right. But the parasites attack SOME people, but not others. The difference? The ones they attack have been drinking Slusho because they smell the secret ingredient. [b]<< the main theory. I think it is plausable for the film storyline.

The main character with the camera, because of his connection to Tagurato, figures this out. Maybe they're in a convenience store with a Slusho machine, the parasites break-in and start attacking the machine and he understands, and puts the important message on the tape, maybe yelling into the camera "They're after the Slusho!" or somesuch. THAT'S why this recovered video tape is of interest to the authorities.

Maybe the monster's blood carries within it the eggs of the parasites. When you drink more than six, the eggs hatch. That shadow of the woman shows her being restrained by 2 guys in biohazard suits… her stomach was ripping-open because the little parasites were coming-out."

Not Bad theory..need to get more evidence though to support it.

I like it a lot, even though it really is wild speculation. But that's about what we've got right now Smile

Thanks

oh they were drinking. although i have no clue as to what the beverages. Maybe it was japanese drink to go with the japanese sushi being served at the party.

maybe the monster blood was in the form of food, like a black puddin or something similar and japanese

hey, i'm new.

i just wanted to say that as much as the theory seems plausible, for someone who's going to watch cloverfield without any knowledge of slusho or any clue about the arg, the movie might not make much sense to them, unless the whole tagruato/etc thing is explained in the film, which i kind of doubt... but some sort of explanation COULD be provided by the military or hazmat people, when they meet with them. just thought i'd bring this thought to the thread.

ok, lets give the theory some meat to chew on.

Heres a few quotes from an online article i found about the deep sea ecosystem, which can be found here http://tinyurl.com/25uqkz

"The deep-sea floor ecosystem is one of the largest on the planet, covering roughly 60% of the Earth's solid surface"

"The principal human threats to the deep sea are the disposal of wastes (structures, radioactive wastes, munitions and carbon dioxide), deep-sea fishing, oil and gas extraction, marine mineral extraction, and climate change."

maybe the radioactive waste has mutated the monster and in turn mutated the parasites making them monsters

Say the monster finally dies (or goes into another state Wink )in central park and then these thousand of parasites would leave the body looking for fresh blood, Slusho drinkers' bodies might be more compelling.

I doubt the monster is going to stomp on New York for 8 hours (at the size of a skyscraper it would be totalled quickly). So it seems to me something is chasing them , biting and infecting people for the rest of the movie. Damn, that steps it up from the typical city stomping monster movie.

It's kinda funny to go back and read one of the eye witness reports of the central park shoots and read about him seeing people in Hazmat suits and infected people and the makeshift triage center in the fragrance department. We knew alot about the actual movie along time ago.

the chemical/waste disposal plot has been rinsed in other monster movies. it would the host all over again, basically. i think abrams wants to make something a bit different.

This is one of the crazy paths of reason I went on awhile back.

Jamie emphasizes 6 times and cornbread in one of her videos' Arrow I figured out cornbread is the anagram for on red crab (and put it in your Happy Talk) Arrow clicked on crab in Slusho history 6 times Arrow the first six expressions of the crab are Happy Angry Sad Surprised Happy Angry Arrow spells out Japanese word HASSHA Arrow one of the translations for Hassha is radiation

Again the seven slusho thing. Why people keep thinking drinking seven slusho is a hazard? The slogan is You Can't Drink just Six. As is You'll Drink More Than Six Most of the Time. Slusho is one of the most popular beverages in Japan, it simply would be ridiculous to think no one there ever drank seven slusho.

Aside from that detail, I think it's a possible theory. But it explains why the parasites attack, but not why the big Grumpypants does it. If it's a natural animal, then it would try to flee the loud noises and people with bazookas.

theres two "parellax" (ideas seen from a different view point) right there. lol

I think the contamination idea is a good one, its different then godzirra in that it was an explosion that caused the mutation there, but with this one i think it is a slow mutation from years and years of waste that has been dumped causing a radical evolution of many creatures of the deep.
