 		I'm new.
I was wondering if this was something.
on slusho's happy talk it says something like 'on crab 6 times'.
also on the jamie and teddy site she says something about six times.

When the movie comes out
It'd have to be a spoiler alert, but I think it'd be funny to post our own theories shot down once the movie comes out.

For example, my posts regarding "rifts" and perhaps even the "arg" thing, do you guys do this? Or you want to?

Sounds fun to me, but I realize humour is subjective and some folks are crabby monkeys.

Hi everyone, I don't know if this has been discussed, can't find it with search, but when you type in cloverfieldthemovie.com, it redirects u to myspace profile of "number 6". I know this has been found I'm sure, but can someone show me a link to it?

Do you mean it was showing in the online users list?
The forum recognizes and shows when Googlebot is 'crawling' the site.
Googlebot (for any that didn't know) is Google's automated 'spider' software that surfs the web and collects the pages that are then indexed by Google to produce it's search results. This is what's known as 'crawling'.

BTW, being able to spoof being Googlebot can be a handy tool for the likes of an ARGer, because many sites use (or abuse) the Googlebot by rendering special content just for it, to improve their placement in Google search results. It's also often allowed into areas of sites that otherwise require membership or passwords to get in.

 		The 1-18-08 date is absolutely confirmed for the US, especially since the trailer itself says so. Other confirmed release dates can be found on the wiki here:

 		I'm probably going to be flamed for asking this, but:

Who exactly is in charge of the myspace pages, and does anyone know how or if whoever is going to use stuff submitted to said pages? (the comic characters for Hud, the fashion stuff for Lena)

 		Other than to say Paramount and Bad Robot are in charge of them, I don't think any of us have any idea who specifically is running that portion of the viral campaign and if it's outsourced or not. We don't have any real idea when they might use anything we've submitted (Happy Talk on Slusho, things for the MySpace pages) until it basically shows up.

thats actually very insightful and a heck of a good point. searching around now.


I just searched on Yahoo! again for "we'll miss you" and for also try it lists code names along with other suggestions that don't seem relevant. Can someone with more searching savy check it out to see if there is anything out there. I looked at the Wikipedia entry for code names and it includes things like the Manhattan Project.

Still saving up to finally get my Slusho! order and hopefully some clues.
