 		 [SPEC] The movie is called Cloverfield because.....
The movie is called Cloverfield because clovers were the first plants to grow back after Central park is destroyed. Those things can withstand anything, ask my lawn. Unless you want to include dandylions, but who would go to a movie called "Dandylionfield"?

 		Ok what if the movie opened with the camera focusing on a clover, then the camera slowly pulls back until you can see an expansive field of clover. The camera slowly pulls back again and pans upward, and surrounding the cloverfield you can see the partly demolised high rise apartments surrounding Central Park with taller, heavily damaged, burning skyscrapers in the background. You can see hundreds of men wearing hazmat suits looking in the remains for evidence.

That one scene alone would draw you into the movie and you would want to know what the hell happened to New York City.

Or maybe the mysterious trailers and immersive online experience are meant to draw you into the movie, and it's only called cloverfield as a shout-out to those of us who've obsessed over this crap non-stop for months.

Probably one or the other.
