Don't forget Marlena's cousin, a character mentioned in the Jamie videos.

Jamie is the character who's received the most exposure in the viral marketing, yet she is nowhere to be found in the teaser or trailer. I think something important will be revealed on Dec. 9th.

It is logical to speculate that Jamie may have been warned by Teddy about some impending disaster. But if she knew something was coming, why not tell her friends?

Hopefully this Jamie thread leads to something juicy.

You know, it makes me sad that nobody is thinking about the monster in all of this. Will the seven survive? Do they live? Do they get hurt? Do they explode... blah blah freakin' blah...

What about the monster? Does anybody ever think of him/her/it? He can cut his feet on sharp things, get blisters from rocket fire and bullets, even get destroyed by a nuclear blast... doesn't anybody care about the poor, poor Monster???

I can see it now... (Ten points if you read this in the old fashioned, stereotypical Yiddish accent that the comedians from the days of yore used to do; see Miracle Max from Princess Bride for reference.)

"So, this schmuck from the surface pokes me in the side one day. I was napping, as I'm want to do for a a few thousand years at a time, so it took me a bit to notice that something was sucking out my blood. Well, like I'm going to let that go unpunished, being the ginormous beasty I am! So I go slogging around after it while it runs away. Goes around a few land masses (I had to avoid this one place it went, and nearly lost it going around the land mass). It seems to stop at this place, so I take a quick nap before going after it. (You try running that far underwater and not getting tired!) Then, get this, something bonks me on the head. Look up and what do I see? A WHOLE FRIGGIN' SCHOOL OF THEM! They looked like they were going to attack me! Sure, they were little, but that bonk hit me in the eye and it HURT! So I hightail it away, and up onto the surface. So my eye hurts, my side hurts from that bloody poke through my armor, and my entire body hurts. You know, being designed for the deep pressures and all. So I'm coming up on this island with this big metal tower thing, and this little fleshy thing starts SCREAMING, pulls something out, makes a few popping noises, and I start feeling these little dinks where I'm sensitive. You know, DOWN THERE. And... Oi, I tell you, this day just keeps getting worse and worse..."

I noticed that on cloverfieldmovie.com (official site) that they say that the movie is about 5 people, implying that what we now refer to as the Slusho 7, could in fact be the Slusho 5. So who is going to be the other character MIA? Of course, it's probably a typo, but I love to stir

i think we are all taking this as almost confirmation that jamie doesnt last past the party.

which is a good reason for marlena to be crying in the pic posted in the OP.

it cant be lily consoling marlena over jasons death cause jason is lily's boyfriend and she would be the one needing a shoulder to cry on in that situation.
