[SPEC] Portal to another world This new info could be the most important thing yet - Theory Maybe this new stuff about physics and satellites is what really brings the monster to life. Maybe they're trying to open open some sort of portal to another world, and the monster comes through. I think this would explain:
1. Why the monster stands up so well to the military strike. I think if it was an earth-born organic life form, it wouldn't be so invulnerable.
2. Why the "heroes"/slusho tie-in is ok. It doesn't actually hurt anybody, so it can be an innocent inside joke.
Maybe all the slusho/deep sea nectar stuff is just to throw us off, or show how reckless Tagruato can be.
BTW...ever think that maybe they haven't decided what brings about the monster yet (since it doesn't seem to get mentioned in the film) , and they're waiting till after the movie to use whichever reasoning we don't come up with? Just a thought
Edit - Title for clarity and tags

This could be possible...
heres me co-theory-
By showing the Heroes stars drink slusho, it's telling us in the cloverfield world, the stars of Heroes are real.
So much information lately, its truly overwhelming

While your efforts are duly noted (and I'm sure a lot of other people might have the same sneaking suspicion), there will be no "portal/gateway/ethereal-rip-in-time-stargate-knockoff" reason for the cloverfield project's existence.
For reasons other than basic info I've aquired through chums of the Paramount-Dreamworks family, Stephen King's The Mist already did it and that computer game Half Life did it.
It's an impressive, fairly unique approach to a "monster" movie.

I really doubt that, Heroes is NBC Universal and Cloverfield is Paramount.
It's just clever marketing for a soon to be real drink .

Good point. I still hold to my second theory though. If these boards are being monitored by people behind the scenes, then I think that every idea we put a lot of stock is gonna yield a new, different line of clues until we as an audience are confused enough to be truly suprised by the end results.

The origins of the monster have shifted from the depths of the ocean to the depths of the universe.
A lot of crazy sci-fi ideas going on in those articles, I'm not really sure what to make of any of it. Just have to wait for more info to be revealed.

Yup. That is the gist of it. While it may be hard to believe (actually, with so many natural skeptics on the unfiction board, I think they find it easy to believe), there are people who's jobs entail monitoring reactions/thought processes/approaches to advertisements or, in more current times, "ARG's" and then pass it forward their findings to the marketing/brain team.
I have no direct connection or relation to the writers or designers of the game, but it is my understanding that if things aren't flowing in a certain expected pattern, the "game" may either be angled differently than the prepared "course" or more obvious clues will be dropped onto the playing field to make things go their way.
This movie won't be done till about late December/beginning of January (honest).

a monster from another world would be fun to watch, but it doesn't seem JJ's style one bit.
the latest news is weird. A drilling company setting their goals higher to explore the unknown universe. i don't buy it

Well, Portal to another world is an interesting hypothesis, very Lovecraft-esque. But if it were so, in that case the whole story with Tagruato and Slusho would be overloaden. But who knows...

That's what I mean, it seems like there's just to many paths to follow, and new ones keep popping up. Like LC said, they're watching the boards, and it's starting to seem like they're hedging their bets so so that they can choose whichever outcome they think we want to see, or expect the least.
PS: Im new to ARGs and the forums, should this be a different topic?

The slusho/heroes crossover on Beemans blog here http://gregbeeman.blogspot.com/ it says after the promo pics of them drinking slusho andI quote BUT SLUSHO CAN TURN FROM FRIEND TO ENEMY QUICKLY – ALWAYS KEEP YOUR EYES ON SLUSHO! Implying the sinister aspect of slusho especially in relation to the way some heroes are good guys that turn bad and vice versa! and to me implies that as suspected the slusho is more than we think it is and will play a bigger part in the movie!

The Portal idea would also tie in with the fact that there are still some sites claiming that the monster is actually an alien that wipes out mankind.
This idea was originally floated at the time the Coney Island stuff was leaked.

But, there's a timing problem: Tagruato is hiring fresh young quantum physicists right now, and the monster attacks in less than 2 months.

True, but I have never been convinced that the release date of the film is the actual date of the attack.

The date is time stamped on photos at 1-18-08.com.
